2015 Ecoboost Mustang PP
Well I have been sitting on this because I wanted to make sure I wasn't going crazy, but here goes. I had my car in for service about a week and a half ago. Oil change, heat recall, front brake TSB (PP) and cooled seats. They do the oil change, hook up to Fords system for checks and updates and order seat ( I know not going to fix the problem), brakes parts ordered and recall parts on back order.
I pick up car and it feels smoother and seems to have more ummph on the top end. Before when people said the car fell flat on it face in the upper rpms, I knew exactly what they meant. Now it pulls much better through the top end rpms.
I know it is all in my head right? I check MPGs and I have gone from mid 20s mixed driving and upper 20s highway to upper 20s mixed driving and low 30s highway. I am still thinking this is all my imagination. Three tanks later I still have the same results. 27 to 28 in town and 31 to 33 on the hwy.
Prior to this last service this car never broke 30 mpg even if hypermiling, and I mean never on a full tank. Now it does so with ease. I cant say they updated the tune for sure, but something has changed for the better since the last service. I am almost convinced since I have one of the first Ecos released, that Ford has already starting updating some tunes of the first release cars. Go ahead...Flame away..
