Based on what I have seen from the aftermarket, the chrome trim is an overlay onto the existing black rubberized trim that goes from A to B pillar. The rear 1/4 glass has the rubber that encapsulates the glass, on those, the separate chrome trim also is an overlay.

Usually the chrome trim from the aftermarket has 3M tape (or similar) that is very strong once applied.

If installed correctly, it doesn't touch the paint. I love mine and it was easy to install.

That looks really nice too!

Any closer images of how it sits over the rear 1/4 glass?

Sure. That's the only tricky bit. The fit is a little vague, so I held it up half a dozen times before committing.

I agree...looks great! That area in particular was where I wondered about it touching on the paint.

if you like the look, just get a set. Once you have it in your hands, you’ll be like “oh.. ok cool”.

I got mine today...and am wondering what the tube of "Help of Stickey" is for? I was planning on cleaning well with alcohol and using a 3M adhesion promoter.

How did you install yours?

I accepted “help of sticky”and smeared a very thin layer of it on before sticking it.

Before all that though, I held the pieces up and stuck them in place with painters tape to get a feel for the gap between sections. That’s the only trick to it. Temporarily hold the pieces in place. You’ll see what I mean.
