IMO it definitely looks better on some colors than others.

It accentuates the shape of the window and body. Makes it look more luxurious, similar to an Aston Martin type design as noted in Post #10. To each their own though.

Agreed, think about what it will look like in a couple of years
I bought two sets in case for this reason. In case it's finish wears off or if they get damaged

Looks great. Was not an option when buying. I would not risk an after market job
It was only a part of the 50th anniversary package from the factory. The aftermarket ones are pretty good if you ask me though, no fitment issues on mine.

I wouldn't have minded the chrome grill had the slats been more coarse and egg-cratey like the attached pic. The Pony Package is too fine-pitched and sideways balleen whale.
I am confused with what you are saying sorry. You mean like you want it to look more checkerboard-esque? In my eyes the attached pic and my pic have very similar grills. I guess the vertical slats are a bit less define on the mustang but that is the biggest style difference I can tell. I am no stylest though.

Just trying to understand what you mean. :shrug:

And there's no denying what it looks like;

You don't need chrome window trim, to see that the fastback Mustang, resembles an older Aston, or Jag.
