Well,
I called the local Ford body shop just to see what they would quote for installing the Roush lower valance for the quad tips. They quoted me $160 out the door for 3 hours of work. I figured that was worth saving me about 8 hours of my own time.
So they had the car all day yesterday, I get a call last night and my bumper and valance are toast, they cut too much material from both.
The service manager is getting a new bumper delivered this morning, hopefully it gets painted today and the car will be together tomorrow.
Here is the part I need advice on, this guy is pretty good to go. He is upset that they screwed up my car but is also blaming the Roush piece, says its cheaply made and doesn't line up, hence the cutting. If I can't trust a Ford body shop to do the work correctly where do I go? I did not feel comfortable doing the work myself, which is why I went to Ford.
Would you guys just attempt it yourself, give them another shot with all new parts, or find a new shop?
