Floppy hood

Anyone else have a hood that vibrates and flexes at speed?? Mine vibrates at highway speed In the 1/3 rear of the hood closest to the driver....

Just picked mine up today and noticed the same thing. Makes the hood look flimsy.

Just like on the last gen, hood lifts also help to stabilize the flutter.

Mine does too, much more at 145mph. Didn't open though.

The hood is flimsy. You can see it flex going through the air dryer, when you go to a car wash.

Have you spoken to your dealer yet, RIBS? They'll be best able to diagnose whether it's built-in or an issue. If you decide to head over, shoot me a PM. I'll see how to best assist on my end.

Ford hood's have done this since 2005 at higher speeds. They will not come off though as the latch has it locked down. But I know mine has not done that but going that fast I'm not watching the hood as much as I am the road.

Many people add hood-pins for self security.

On my test drives (3 cars) all did it, when my car came in I have not seen it flex yet.

Only seems to start to do that when I break 80 MPH. I assume it'll be safe and fine... Shows the amount of vacuum created at the base of the windshield, though!

I'm looking at the hood while driving. If you don't see it then yours isn't doing it.
