Hi All, First post here, hate that its starting off as a negative. Help me turn this into a positive result! I've attached a visual aid with my measurements.
I have some decent uneven gaps on the front hood line to the fascia. The pass side is 6.184mm, middle of the hood is 2.197mm, and driver side is 4.864mm. To me this amount of deviation is unacceptable, it should an even gap. However the dealer tells me this is still within the Ford spec of 4mm +/- 2.3mm. I've argued with the dealer and my regional case manager that this spec is incomplete and does not account for a parallel tolerance. The spec actually only showed one measuring reference point at the center of the hood.
How bad are others hoods and body gaps?
