Ok... not what is sounds like.... When I activate my right turn signal, I press upward. But quite often the stick slips abit (or maybe it's my hands) and I end up flashing the high beams at the car in front of me. I would have thought that the high beams would only come on if I had the headlights on.. But the turn signal switch needs, in my opinion, to have a better "indent" so this doesn't happen.

It's called "flash to pass" and it used to even be advertised as a feature. Definitely intentional, although the lack of detent sounds like it could be annoying.

This is on my Flex as well. This is the one thing that really annoys me about the blinker. It feels like I have to break the stalk just to get the blinker to stay on and half the time I flash my brights. My VW had both the lane change blinker and the flash to pass feature and it was never as stiff as Ford's.

Thing that annoys me about the stalk: it's too far from the steering wheel. I've missed it at least a dozen times when making a turn in the last few days because it's beyond my reach.

That's because you're laying down in your car.
