I have a 2020 GT with the closed Roush CAI. Only other mods id the MBRP x pipe and Bama Rev X tuner. I just cleaned my air filter and reinstalled the reduction sleeve in the intake tube so I could flash the car back to the stock file. Once I did that I did not start the car to give filter time to dry. After about 12 hours went to start the car and it started fine but ran rough. Turned the car off pretty quick and now it won't start at all. Any help or ideas would be apperciated. I didn't have time to fool with it as I had to come to work so I just took a different vehicle. Now I cannot do anything but rack my brain about what to try when I get home. TIA

I’m not throwing off on anybody that chooses to do any mod he desires on his own car. Hey, it’s your car. And I recognize that folks have different tolerance levels for this sort of thing. But stuff like this is *exactly* why I keep my GT stock. I was all set to install the Roush/Ford CAI/Throttle body/tune kit but then thought about just this sort of thing. And while nobody ever turns down extra horsepower, I realistically don’t know of anywhere I can use the factory 460 anyway.

Maybe it’s an old guy thing, IDK. Probably is.

Need more info. Won't start at all? So, push the button and nothing or it cranks and doesn't fire?

Started the first time and when I shut it off it would not start again. Like push the button and nothing but the radio and A/C.

did you plug back in any sensors you may have unplugged under the hood?
The only thing that I unplugged was the mass air flow sensor so I could reinstall the reduction sleeve. I have read in a couple places that if I installed it backwards it cause similar issues. That will be the first thing I check when I get home.

thats not the issues cause it should still crank anyway.
Obviously put the battery on a charger too just to be sure the simplest thing isn t the issue.

Maybe oversimplistic but how is the battery charge? Did you have it on a charger/maintainer while you were changing the tune/working on it?

Bad things can happen if your battery isn't up to snuff...

Before I flash any vehicle I always put a battery tender on it and make sure I have a full charge light before loading a tune.

Thanks for all of the input. Turns out it was the battery. Car is running fine now. Lesson learned, I will always have external power when flashing. I really apperciate this forum. I have learned alot just reading past threads.

Care to share what kind of battery tender you are using?

I've had several over the years, from actual Battery Tender brand to Schumacher to Black and Decker, and so on. I think the latest is one I picked up at WalMart, I believe it's the same brand as the automotive batteries they carry.

That is, low amperage battery maintainers that you can leave in place over a storage period.
