What do you guys think of this location? Behind the passenger seat on the inside back of the roll bar. I don't track the car but have to have one in the car for MCA show. I'd rather not drill holes. I can get to the release from the driver's seat although I have to stretch.

looks likewe have the same one, this was on my ecoboost but I'm going to do the same thing again. Drill 2 holes and rivnut it in, was sturdy and didn't make any sound. When I sold it I just slapped the trim panel back in lol.

Bit confused here, you have a racing seat, harness, roll cage and a fire extinguisher but you don’t track the car…. So what is the purpose of all this racing stuff ?????

Has anyone used these.? They are compact, supposedly produce more retardant, and do not expire.

I have one in the glovebox, thankfully haven't used it.

Car was purchased with all of that track stuff. Seats are original Recaros. I like the Watson roll bar. But really dont need the harnesses. No race track around me that I know of. Phoenix or Denver is the closest to me but are 6 plus hour drives.

I have mine mounted so I can reach it from the drivers seat if needed vs having to get out and go to the passenger side for it.

That looks a little easier to get at. I'll see if I can mount it that way.

This is what I have in my car for track days. I have the bracket that attaches to the passenger seat front mounting bolts. I believe they have a roll bar mount as well.

If heaven forbid you needed to quickly access the extinguisher this is a better location. On the passenger downtube tucked in a corner defeats the purpose of having one onboard.

Frankly those types of extinguishers are more for look than anything else
On a street only car, the need for it is about zero and on a track car, you need a fire bottle with a lot more capacity and at least a couple of nozzles

Beats trying to pee the fire out.

I agree. This is where I moved it to. It fits nice and easier access. Thanks for the pic!
