I found a pretty nice fire extinguisher mount on-line recently through a company called Speed Tactics. It's nicely made out of aluminum flat stock with a finish that compliments the interior very well. Super easy installation - just mount the extinguisher to it and then remove the two front bolts that hold one of the seats down, slide the bracket under the seat mount, and reattach the seat bolts.

The part of the bracket that slides under the seat mount bolts is slotted so you can adjust the bracket fore and aft, too.

I have that one too. It rattles a little but with the car in loud mode, who can tell anyway?

IMO, if my car suddenly catches fire, I'd rather get another GT350 than to put out that fire.

However, if you're tracking the car, you're 99% on the hook for what happens to it. That's the only scenario where I see the car is worth saving.

A lot of track day events mandate that the car has a 1kg fire extinguisher fitted.

I just recently bought this exact one with the smaller extinguisher. Easy install and looks great. Gives the car a real race car look. People at car shows like the look

I used the Brey Krause mount and their quick release extinguisher holder. Kinda pricey but the quality is top shelf and the mount is bolted to the seat so it moves with it.

Actually, a Cobra caught fire right next to me at Willow Springs last weekend. I emptied several extinguishers on it as did multiple people from all around the paddock. The car was blazing but the little extinguishers kept the fire confined to the engine bay until the track truck arrived. According to the insurance agent present, the car should be completely covered. The car had major damage but was likely savable. Luckily the fire didn't damage surrounding cars or trailers.

That's awesome... any experience with using it?
Buddy has, that thing lasts as long as a 5 pound bottle. Go to the site and watch the video, these things are high tech and Zero residue.
