Finally my R is scheduled

Its great to see people making connections to get one of these. I cant wait for mine. Just got update. Was 20 days out and awaiting shipment yesterday and today shows 12 days out "in transit' So I guess it has started its rail journey to ATL. Getting closer.

See I told yallz ford is starting to pump them out as quick as possible now. Totally skipped the QC process and sending them on!!!

Honestly I probably called FP 3 times in 6 months just to be nosey. All I know at this point is that it was built last week and is already on the road (or tracks). But like I said earlier I was shocked how fast it went from in production to in transit. I think they are pumping them out full bore now.

You're lucky, my track pack has been built for over two weeks and is still sitting in Flat Rock...

It gets sent to the line about a week before the final blend date.

I was told my build date was end of Feb. Before the end of Feb I received a call from the dealer saying car arrived.

Don't get too anxious over the production date. Mine is currently showing produced on 4-4-16 but according to Ford Performance the R's then go over to the "Mod Shop" for stripes (if ordered) and the rear wing. My status has not changed in 10 days. Hopefully the next step is released for shipment.

"Slow is smooth; smooth is fast." The fact that the post-build phase is taking time is a good sign, albeit frustrating. R should equal true perfection, and you probably don't want them to rush the Mod Shop step...

All I can tell you after going through a process like this for the first time is that nobody has it figured out 100%. Just keep hoping for little surprises in the dates jumping closer than you anticipated.

I can only hope this happens but I'm not that fortunate :shrug: I thought that the car was painted 3-4 days before assembly...is that what in Production means? "Im not trying to beat a dead horse" just curious thanks:hail:

From all the 2016 R owners a sincere "you're welcome!" to future 2017 R owners. I'm hoping it goes much smoother and straightforward for you all and our experience will help you out. I'm hoping you never have to explain to someone you think you ordered a car, you're not 100% sure, have no idea when or if it will be built but it's completely normal and expected. And then have to look at the strange look on their face doubting every word you just said.
