Thank you for this, I do have 93 where I am at.

Can you post a 7670 and 7163 with similar or identical mods as the car dynoed here, so I can compare the torque curves?
The 7670 sits right in between the 7163 and 8374 in both spoolup and overall power output. Users have reported seeing consistent spoolup around 3300rpm while holding full boost up to 6500+rpm on the street. IMHO it's the perfect street/DD choice. Works great on the road courses as well.

Thank you for the boost pressure level information, I had been wondering with those EFR turbos, what type of boost you could run on pump gas with the 2.3 EB, I would imagine you could touch 30psi with cams and head work, making the motor more efficient and therefore charge temperature a little cooler.
Yes, absolutely. As you can see from the compressor maps the larger turbo is more efficient and will automatically make more power for a given boost level and equal mods, BUT the larger turbo also has extra lag. IMHO from building, tuning, and daily driving turbo cars for 20+ years I prefer the powerband of a medium size turbo for a DD. It's quick enough to provide instant power, yet still big enough to kill 90% of the cars you'll encounter on the road. I think you'll prefer the 7670.

How do you think your intercoolers compare to the ATM intercooler? Since I'm pretty interested in straight pump 93, intercooler and compressor efficiency are at the top of my list.
Unfortunately I don't have data on other intercoolers so it's hard to compare. When we ran our intercooler torture test we pushed them through the toughest conditions we could muster. The data from our tests show how well they perform under the worst conditions. Be aware that there is no 'standard' way to test an intercooler, so look closely at all the background data before drawing conclusions about other cores. One key feature that stands out in our intercooler test results is the ability to remove heat from the charge air during extended pulls. This shows that our intercooler works more like a radiator to continuously shed heat. This is due to the large frontal area and relatively thin core. (if you can call a 3.5" thick core 'thin') that allows ambient airflow to pass through the core easily and remove heat. The benefits of this design show up anytime you push the car hard, like a 1/4 mile race, back-to-back pulls on a hot day, or just cranking up the boost on the stock turbo.

Thanks for this, I always thought they flowed almost the same CFM for some reason, but you are right, the 7163 is about 60 lbs/min and the 7670 is about 65 lb/min ... I believe one is a small frame turbo and one is a BW larger frame turbo?

You are right, I would like the extra 5 pounds of air flow, maybe the 7670 is for me? I'm hoping those flow numbers are a little on the conservative side also.

Do you have any 7670 dynos, especially on pump? I really want to overlay them and see the torque curve. I am with you, power under the curve is more important to me, than peak power for a few hundred rpms.

It seems like the major players (MAP, FFTec, Full-Race, etc) have all gone silent recently. Maybe new developments? Discovering issues they don't want the community to know about? Forgot about us?

I can tell you that the car is complete and on its way back to me now. As it sits it should be around 425 on straight 93 octane. I'll post up a new thread once it shows up with my first hand impressions. If FFTEC has more input I'm sure they'll chime in.

It doesn't scare me, but its really concerning, because before SEMA everyone was keeping us updated and whatnot but it seems like after SEMA everyone went quiet all of a sudden. That's why I question if it was an issue that came up with the platform recently that impacts it greatly and that's why theyre staying quiet or what. MAP went silent shortly after Adam left, Livernois hardly comes in anymore to update their progress on their shop car, FFTec hasn't said anything in a couple months, and RIP hasn't come back since their motor blew, and some of the smaller companies haven't said anyting. Right now the only company that has been somewhat vocal for the time being is Full-Race, and I applaud them for that, even if ive bitched on how long its taking them to release their turbo kit in the past. Its concerning, but nothing that's scaring me.

I hope that everyone that who have been whining about updates have the 4K+ ready to go for the turbo and fueling kits that will be on their way.

Thanks for the update. I'll be looking forward to hearing about it once you get it back.

That actually is not the case at all...we have been fairly active on both halves of the board.

Here are a couple threads that we started recently:

There are also quite a few posts that you can read up on:D

I didn't go silent ;). I am also working with Full-Race on my build.
