I agree about the Shelby. If my '13 GT500 had a high performance auto it would be much more fun to drive and way faster. I doubt I could beat many cars off the line with my street tires even though I've replaced the crappy Goodyears with Michelins. With an auto it's much easier to launch.I can drive both but prefer automatic. If your listening to anyone saying an automatic is any less of a car or your less of a driver if you have one. That means your still young, when you get older you could give a flying Fuk what anyone else thinks unless they are paying for your car or your married to them.
The auto in these cars is nice, I would like a bunch more gears for fuel savings but other then that it's a nice/responsive tranny. Yes a dual clutch is the best of both worlds but it would not be a smooth in traffic and would add cost to this set up I'm sure.
I could care less what anyone thinks if you are happy with your choice. What is annoying to me is that an Auto and Manual is not available on every performance level car (yes you Shelby, I would have bought one for sure)
