Grand National anyone? V6 turbo automatic was nasty fast & fun! Sold my '13 auto V6 (Steeda tuned) for a '13 M6 5.0 but it had 3rd gear lockout issues (quite dangerous in traffic). Sold it (thanks Ford) for an auto '07 GT when I bought my house. I love the auto with my VMP tune but I'm seriously looking at a Boss 302. Guess I'll have to do the clutch upgrade/lockout fix if I get it.

I ordered an auto because that's what I wanted period. I drove a GTPP and don't care for the clutch feel (or lack of), I like drag racing and I still have control of all 6 gears both up and down.

Two reasons. Traffic and paddle shifters. In auto point and go.

My knees suck & while it's a blast to drive a stick on the open road, it's (literally) painful in traffic. Besides wife never learned (in spite of repeated attempts by her sisters & myself) & while she typically does not drive any of "my cars" there are times when it comes in handy.

Bought a manual because that's the way I like it

Wife can't drive a manual :D

The only time I want an automatic is when I'm in a backup

I would want a manual quite frequently if I had an automatic

Paddle shifters could be cool, but I don't think I'd feel connected

I bought my auto because I dislocated my knee and damaged it pretty good. It is only a matter of time before I will need surgery. An auto allows me the ability to drive my car versus sitting in the garage undrivable. Previously had a 2011 GT California Special manual. The fun factor is what you make it to be.

I drove both and in my hands the auto is faster. I have driven manual cars since 1976, both low (75 hp 71 Merc Capri) and high (99 BMW 540i) horsepower and I know how to drive a stick, but to really get speed out of it you have to drive it in a way that is not compatible with a long clutch life. I my opinion I find that a manual is more fun in a slightly underpowered car, when you really have flog it to get it going!

I like driving a manual but this is my DD. Plus, it's got paddle shifters so you can play with it when you get bored. Not the same, but still fun. No regrets, the automatic is supposedly bullet proof too.

I honestly wanted a manual.. I had planned to wait at least another month before getting my car but I just got tired of waiting and my DD was starting to give me issues so I needed to get the car right away.

I looked around at the inventory of all my local dealers and non had what I wanted.. so I went to the only dealer that had shadow black base EB's and they both were auto's with the ugly spoiler and the 19'' wheels and stripe package.. I actually like the wheels (added bonus, they come with Pirelli's 255 all round) and the little stripe that says mustang, wish it had the spoiler delete tho.

I especially wish I had gotten the manual now that I installed the MMR intake.. I just love revving it heh.. vrrrooom woosssshhh (first turbo car ever!)

Being my DD, and living in NYC, and driving to Manhattan everyday in crazy traffic, is the reason I got an auto

I like my auto because I don't have to come out of boost as it changes gears and I can hold my wife's hand... Man, I sound whipped.

My last Mustang (2014 GT) had a manual. I dumped way too much money into it between shifters/brackets in order to get it to do what I wanted. Even with an MGW race it would still lock me out at high RPM. Turned out to fix it I would have to replace the factory clutch.

Got an auto because I was tired of dealing with the MT-82 mess. Also the 6R-80 is one of the stoutest autos you can get, and keeps the turbo happier between gears.

Drove a MT-82 on a test drive and came right back to the dealership and drove the automatic. Didn't like the feel of the clutch and after talking with the shop boys didn't want to deal with the potential problems. Automatic was a no brainier to me. I just have a hard time dealing with people on street corners pointing at me and yelling "oh my god there is one of those guys with an automatic transmission Mustang, GET HIM" I haven't told my neighbors yet and quietly put the car cover on and keep the car out of view when I get home from a Sunday drive. They may drive me out of the neighborhood if they found out I own an automatic transmission Mustang! I hang my head in shame!
