I would be more concerned with ac evaporator failure that driveline vibration. But so far mine has been trouble free no vibration at all.

I wouldn't worry about it, find the car that speaks to you. If it makes you sleep better, negotiate an extended warranty as part of the deal and use the driveline and a/c issues as a basis for it.

I've have three Fords, '01 GT, '15 Explorer, 16' GT, all three are doing very well.

Any car type will have issues. You can give yourself analysis paralysis if you read and obsess over everything. I got my '17 GT/PP built in May this year. So far I haven't felt any vibration issues at all! It's a great car. If you base your purchases on 100% reliability, you'll never buy anything.

Body panel alignment is a non-issue and easily fixed. I had 3 body panels realigned in about 30 minutes by a Ford dealership.

Can't speak about the driveline vibration issues but I thought that impacted manual cars only? Hyundai Genesis coupe manual cars only suffered from the same driveline vibration. Automatic cars did not have a driveline vibration problem.

Test drive the car on the highway and if you feel any vibration don't buy it.

Well I would look around for a better price than $40k. I mean idk if you're looking for a convertible or if you want a base. I see plenty of new 2017 premium gt coupes $34k-$36k range. Manuals even cheaper unless it's with the performance pack

2015 Ecoboost here with 37k miles (built September 2014). No driveline problems, no A/C problems, but yes the panel alignment was noticeably off and it had interior rattles when it was basically new.

Zero issues with mine.
At this point I would wait for an 18.

More HP, MagRide, 10 speed auto, what's not to like.

Thanks everyone for the replies, appreciate it. I feel reassured.

If you got the money to spend 40k might as well wait a few more months and get the 18 mustang with the newer features. The digital speedometer cluster looks amazing

I wouldn't pay 40k for this car.

^^^ As for paying too much or getting a 2018 instead --- Ill start out by saying I would love to get a 2018! But the price would be the big factor here. I'm basically getting a base 2017 GT for $7k under MSRP. Dont think Ill get anywhere close to that on a 2018 so budget and price are a big factor. I'm in the great white north so our prices are significantly higher then our American friends in the South --- hence the difference. To be accurate I'm looking at about $37,250 out the door including taxes. MSRP would put me at $45,200... so savings of about $8k with taxes. On a 2018 I would expect to pretty much pay MSRP.

No problems here with drive shaft shutter or panel fitment.
I wish Ford could paint the S550 with a bit more care.
The orange peel.....don't get me started.

2015 GT. Only problem has been AC which is getting fixed under warranty for evaporator leak. They charged it Summer 2016 and this Summer it leaked again on a hot day.
Stage 2 Whipple and AC still being covered.

Supposedly -H or higher new evap solves issue on 2015.

Driveline and motor are solid despite 800 hp abuse.

Ok so you're talking Canadian dollars? If so, then $37,250 Canadian which using the currency calculator is $29,695.70 American which aint bad then
