My first mod I did was blackout the side of the brake lights.

I haven’t had it done but seatbeltplanet.com looks legit.. although it’s $150 a belt and you have to send it in to have it done. Itd be sweet to see the finished product. There are a couple other websites you can look around
I would love to see how this comes out.

Until the day someone rear ends you and you become 100% at fault
When you hit the brakes, they light up no differently than stock. Maybe just a tad dimmer, but not much at all. At night with lights on, you can’t tell they’re painted/covered. Mine are plastic covers.
They’re still brighter than any car made from 2010 down.

I like your paddle shifters, do you have a link where I can purchase them from??
those paddle shifters are the magnesium paddles found from the gt500. this is a oem gt500 steering wheel that comes with them.

Spoken like a man who has first hand experience with them and comments with knowledge, not assumptions. They’re fine, and you would know if you had them.
My drive way is almost 1000 ft long, and they light up my entire house that can be seen from the gate. I would guess on straight, they can be seen from at least 1-2 miles away. 1 mile = 5280 feet.
So pulling the RCW in my state (which is probably one of the more stricter in the country) tail lights need to be seen from 1000ft or less.

So, I’m over 5 times as bright as what is required by law.
It’s not worth arguing over. They are fine, they are bright, and no lawyer would take the case, given the facts.

Everyone needs to admit, s550 brake lights blind you when stock. Just stand behind it at night and hit the lock button on the remote, you'll see. A little tint doesn't hurt and it makes them look 100% better.

Here is the *tinted* S550 tails vs completely stock Lexus GS350 FSport.
As you can see, the S550 is about 3-4 times brighter.
Pics taken in same exact lighting, with brakes to the floor. Just one garage bay down.
