So I've been slowly modding the looks of my first ever pony. One thing I liked on the previous years was the GT wing. Guess what, I found one at work collecting dust and my manager told me to take it!
So II test fit it on the s550 and the lines match..
Some modification will be needed but I'm wondering on if I should extendthe center stacks or shave them.
Shitty MSPaint job but I figured I'd paint the bottom inner half gloss black and the top matching magnetic , also shave the center stacks.. I think I like this.
Also picked up GT upper and lower grill.
(Please tell me how this makes sense.. The lower grill is 40% smaller yet costs 30% more...)
Modifying it, already cut the OEM honeycomb out , now trying to figure what mesh to put on. Honeycomb, thin black mesh. Try to fit some shutter like grill. Not sure.

Just got my badgless decklid tonight, led drl/turning lights (white ) and a oil catch can. Mods move this where ever, but I guess I'm starting my first ever build thread. :-)
I figured I'd post here to see the love/hate reaction on the 14gt spoiler idea before I pull the trigger and start drilling holes on my trunk. Like I said it's a free pedestal spoiler so I'm not complaining.

Good luck with the mods! The 14 spoilers not my taste but if you like it then do it! That's all that matters anyway.
I have a Mag Gray V6 as well, looking to do CDC Outlaw spoiler, Cervinis lower side scoops and stripes, not sure if gloss or matte just yet.

I have this on my '11 convertible and have been wondering what it would look like. Removing the two center posts would be a bad idea as they support a pretty large wing to begin with. How do the 4 posts sit (pic would be good)?

The pic is above. You can see the two center posts don't reach the lid but I'm sure they can be modified to fit. The second is without the two center posts. Well see what I do.

Plus I would figure some sort of extra support running through the center of the wing from one post to the other to strengthen it.

Hence my recommendation to not cut them off. Just add some material (composite shims from Home Depot) to fill in the gap. They are easily shaped and would look fine especially in a pair. Take lots of pics of whatever you do and Good Luck!

I personally think it would look better with just two posts. Hmm... I mean look at even the gt350 wing. It's only a double post with a substantially larger hoop around. Granted it's cf but still easy to break. I'm sure someone wount be an ass and break my spoiler. Plus it will be different. Regardless I'll have to weigh my options and see what looks best. I hate drilling holes. Cringing just thinking about it , so doing 4 less holes is helping me calm down more.

Good job scoring the free spoiler. I actually prefer the look with the four posts. For me, the outer posts are too thin to be the sole supports (cosmetically). They would need to be more substantial like the center posts.

Good luck, and keep us posted with updated pics.

So just a side note. All posts are the same size. Center posts are turned about 20° make them look like they are bigger

I think you're wing mod is a great idea. Especially since you "scored" the wing for free. I would say the 4 posts concept would be better looking IMHO. Good Luck.
