Dragy is a great tool to measure your performance... All the haters sound hilarious and sad at the same time. Yelling at the sky for being blue. Not everyone has a track near them nor the time to drive hours to and from. Not everyone has to like only what you like. Some people enjoy doing rolls or spontaneously doing some pulls when nobody is around. Plus it is a lot more accurate/repeatable when you actually want information on what is working and not working without have to wait in a line at the track, worry about making a small mistake when launching, having a shit launch, etc... etc... It's so nice to just knock out an easy pass and be done with it.

I don't use mine when there are other people around.. I normally go out later at night, on the highway and use the same long ass on ramp every time, if there is any cars, I will pull over and wait for them to go and get way up ahead and out of my way.

Crashing alone on a desert road has a few pit falls. Mainly, Response times are absolutely rubbish.😁
Back in the late 70's early 80's we could average 120 from Scottsdale to cave creek. Sometimes never seeing another car once out of town.

Thanks to NIMBY laws Most people don't have a track near them. To that point most of the population also dont have open roads without some level of other traffic.

I agree with what you said to an extent. However, id wager to bet most people are NOT doing this on open roads risking only themselves.

Heck Ive Fr0mRolld raced in less then ideal settings. I was stupid and selfish when I was doing it, I was menace and danger to those around me, in that span of time I was being a dumb shit hipocrit. But I have the stones to admit it but lack the maturity to fix it at 42yo 🤔

No, definitely not, you can see that in many videos posted on youtube.. but that isn't the dragy's fault and not having a dragy won't change the fact that a lot of people do a lot of dumb things... Hell, I am probably dumb for using mine on the street but I make sure I am being as safe as possible, if I hurt myself I can live with it, my choice... but the last thing I would want to do is kill someone else and have to live with that. Tons of guys on the dragy page use it at the tracks. It has many uses.

I also have a hard time turning down a challenge, so If someone wants to get busy, to me they know the risks and are opting in just like I am. That doesn't mean I am going to do it on a packed road with other innocent drivers... it's all about the timing and openings. If it works out great, if not oh well, maybe another time.

3800-4000llb car that goes 100-150 in

5.6 will travel roughly 1020 feet
4.6 will travel 840

At 150mph you are traveling 288 FT per second.
Exactly. The faster cars (ones using this metric) don’t use as much space as you would think. This isn’t my car but as an example.
Same thing follows with the 60-130 cars. It’s a really great tool for the 600-900 hp crowd

So I've read a few things about it in the past. But largely ignored it.

It reminded me at first of a device from wayyyu back called "G-Tech" that device was pretty much the butt end of allot of jokes.

So is this Draggy fun? Useful? Junk? What are your experiences with it? It looks like it could be fun or a waste of money. I can't tell. Sway me one way or another 👍
Good you can get your car dialed in but, you need open roads to use it effectively

An open lane in northern VA is like a leprechaun riding a unicorn.

I hate this area so much. Can't wait to go back to where I'm from

I'm next to I-75 when it is merged with I-71. Nuts traffic 24 hours. I do have a 2 mile on ramp that I'm usually able to use for testing
