So I just got done adding a x-pipe resonator delete to my gt pair up with a Magnaflow competition axle back. Thing aounds flat out ugly I love it, but the drone on the highway literally makes my head feel like it's going to explode. Does anyone have any ideas to reduce the amount of in cabin drone? I already have some dynamat I should be putting in the trunk in a couple days.

I think another guy said that dynamat didnt help all that much. And from what I read Magnaflow is known to drone a bit. Best bet would be to get a new exhaust if you want to eliminate it.

yep..I had the competition exhaust and got a headache after a 30min drive. Took it off the next day..go with the sport muffler.

I have the resonator delete+GT500 axleback on my 2012 and its still plenty loud at WOT with no drone while cruising

I've heard dynamat does and I've heard it doesn't, I'm gonna try it at least. Before I had the x-pipe it droned but I could tolerate it. But now it's crazy, I just want to tone it back down to what it was if that's possible lol

I knew they would drone some due to the nature of the muffler style. Not looking to cancel completely which would be nice lol, just cut it down a bit and zack that is an option, I'm trying to not bother my performance shop again for at least a week or two before I take it up there to quieten the exhaust they just made louder lol

Drop it in 5th around 60-65. It won't drone in 6th at anything above 65

I have been dropping down to 5th a lot but even at 70mph in 6th it will drone under a load.. I've had many exhaust and this one if the craziest thus far. I might end up getting some luxury liner foam and doing that as well.

Check into J pipes / helmholtz pipes. I have the Magnaflow competition style mufflers with H pipe, had to put stock resonator back in because how horrible it was. Probably same as yours. Just haven't had the money to get it done yet.

If you scroll through my thread here there's some links that other's have posted information on them.

Don't waste your money on Dynamat. I tried it on my 12 to combat drone and it didn't help.
