Excuse the decklid I know I need to get a new one, but I was just curious as to if anyone else with 18-23 Euros has experienced what looks like to be yellowing? I bought these from FORM just over a year ago and you’d think they wouldn’t yellow till maybe after 3-4 years but I guess that wasn’t the case…anyways what would you guys recommend? Buy a new pair? Smoke them? Or buy that partial blackout tint that Premium Auto Styling sells??

Another vote for the Ford clear tails. So many threads about people having issues with other brands. Buy once cry once

I have learned over the last decade that manufacturers tend to use materials that are proven to last longer than those of clone companies. Not always, but most of the time.
I've been through some aftermarket products that I guarantee Ford would not want it's name or its reputation riding on. Yes, I may pay more, much more, but a product's longevity of quality is a definite consideration in cost vs. performance when I shell out hard earned money.

If only they had the 15-17 style.

I’ve had the Morimoto ones with plug and play amber turn signals for a few years no issue. If I remember correctly the Ford Performance weren’t available when I bought these.

OK, so instead of telling you what you should have bought let’s discuss what you already have.

1. Have you contacted FORM? American Muscle says they offer a 2 year warranty. Hopefully they will replace them.

2. Have you spoken to a good detailer? I’ll bet they, like headlights, can be cleaned and refinished.

3. Either way, get them ceramic coated. That will prevent them from yellowing again.

Good Luck! 👍

Good suggestion about contacting Form. However, there’s been a few threads with folks having gone through multiple sets of lights in a short amount of time, with the same repeated issues. Unfortunately, having them replaced under warranty only delays the inevitable. And from those threads, the warranty runs from the time the original set was purchased. So if it’s 2 years, it’s 2 years from the original purchase date. After that, you’re on your own.

I wouldn’t think FP would discontinue the clear tails anytime soon, so filing a warranty claim with Form could buy OP some time if he doesn’t want to buy another set of lights right now. The FP lights aren’t cheap that’s for sure.

Aftermarket tail lights suck, plain and simple. All of them. Yes, I know someone will soon chime in to say their Vland/EPM/Form/whatever are still working fine, but these are the exception, not the rule. When it comes to lights, aftermarket sucks. Period.
Get some OEM tail lights; that's the only way to ensure they will look and work properly for a long time.

Why? There is nothing wrong with his taillights other than the yellowing. If that matter can be resolved why does he need to spend hundreds of additional dollars just to say he has OEM's. I just do not understand everyone's insistence on buying OEM. We certainly do not do that with other parts.

For me, the yellowing IS everything wrong. If it can be corrected to perfectly clear, fine, but that will cost money each time.
Maybe will spend as much over the years continually correcting it as just buying OEM.
Hence the saying buy once cry once, but to each their own.

If the lights can be refinished you simply put PPF on them and ceramic coat them. One time that's it. You will never spend as much as a pair of EOM lights.
