Hey guys. Does anyone know if it's possible to get an ethanol % readout from one of the n gauge signal outputs? I had asked Lund a while back and I think they said you could, however I do not have a flex fuel sensor installed. Car runs only on E. Does anyone else have any experience with this?

I monitor my content via my nGauge. I also crosscheck it with a test kit.

I have Alch learn but I don't have a Alch % signal. Are you running a flex fuel sensor?

I don’t run a flex sensor, but that reading is for my flex tune. The way I understand it is, you can’t monitor it on the E85 race tune. That’s why I crosscheck my fuel.

Have you tried to see if you can select the Alch% signal from the nGauge menu?

Here’s a pic of my screen after selecting MAF lb/min. signal to monitor when I was testing and logging information after installing a race air filter. Prior to this I had been monitoring Lambda 1 in that cell.

Ahh. I see. Its most likely because I have the E85 race tune being the reason I can't monitor. My N gauge doesn't even give me an option for Alch%. Thanks for the info.

That’s the reason for sure. The monitoring PID for Alch% is only available on a flex tune for Lund. Confused me for quite a while back a few years ago lol.

To confirm what NGOT8R said, I was told by Lund that the alch% monitor is only on the flex fuel tune and not the e85 race tune. But when I run my flex tune to switch back to e85 at the beginning of the season, I compare the alch% to my independent ethanol content senor/gauge and the ngauge is super inaccurate anyway. Your best bet is to buy a separate senor/gauge combo.

It is not just the N gauge. The PID is only on when the flex switch is on. You could ask Lund to turn on the flex switch on the race tune, it won't affect the tune.
