Anyone running an ethanol content sensor on their fuel system? Looking into adding one on my GT350 to eliminate the need for testing at the pump. If so what was the cost of the system and difficulty to install? My tuner set up my car with a tune for 91, E54 and E85 but wanted $650 to add the sensor so I figured I’d look around first. Thanks for any info

That is for wiring up a sensor directly to the ecu/pcm and having it fully automated, aka the tune is written and you can fuel up with anything from e0 to e100 and the tune will automatically adjust without you having to do anything.

Your other option is to setup a ethanol sensor that outputs the content but doesn't talk directly to the ecu. With pcmtec you can enable manual on-the-fly ethanol content adjustments through the cruise control buttons. This way you could fuel up and after the new fuel goes through your fuel lines and you get a reading you can adjust the ethanol content with the car running in 10 seconds. Some kit like: https://fuel-it.com/products/fuel-it-flex-fuel-kits-ford-mustang-5-0?variant=39516603351179

I have two. Very easy to setup. Do you have a return style setup?
To be honest I’m not sure as I just bought the car last month with the current mods already done but I’ll call my tuner and ask him as he just tuned the car so he should probably know. As far as I know the only fuel system mods are Id1050x and VMP boost pump.

If you are running a boost a pump then you most likely don’t have an aftermarket return style fuel system, so you will have stock fuel lines

That is correct. You can use a kit like innovate Motorsports sensor and gauge and get some in line adapters from racetronix. I’ll drop some screen shots. Basically disconnect fuel line coming out of firewall and insert QDF to QDF adapter>E85 sensor>QDF to QDM adapter> factory fuel line going to rails. You will also need a 1/8 NPT plug for the QDM
QDF= quick disconnect female
QDM= quick disconnect male

I used this same gauge, tied it in on my return line under my car, works great. You can see changes almost immediately when filling up.

My uncle has the Fuel It setup on his new edge, also works great... I looked into it myself, I just like having the gauge personally and the fuel temp reading on the gauge is nice to have as well.
