Does anyone know exactly what this includes?

My car is ordered and I didn't include this but I've been seeing that many of you have.

Thanks in advance

I believe it is the same as in the outgoing model (active alarm with interior motion sensors, as well as sensors that pick up if the car is tilted for towing), but with the addition of an electronic locking glove box.

This is particularly very handy for convertible models, so you can lock your valuables while having the top down when parking.

Hmm sounds like a great option for convertibles. Not sure if I should add this to my build. It does sound like a great package but not sure if its a necessity

It includes wheel locks as well, which everyone should have.

If you take a look at the Dealer Sourcebook, which is linked from the Wiki at the top of the page (direct link is here), it will give you all the information about it.

I found it a very worthwhile option for the money.

You all are right on the money! I hit my books and I'm showing the Enhanced Security Package comes with the following:

• Active Anti-Theft System
• Electronic-locking center console
• Electronic steering column lock
• Wheel locking kit

Very true, it is a great package. It comes standard on the convertibles. Let me know if you have any other questions I can assist with.

If you'd like to send me a PM with your order number and dealer code, I'm happy to help keep an eye on your Mustang's progress. :)

When I build and price the convertible on Ford.com, it is a $395 option. Why is that? :ford:Also, regarding the convertible, does the ESP lock or disable the interior trunk release button? Thanks in advance for answers!:ford:

You're welcome, Frederick! :D

I confirmed that the Enhanced Security Package is standard on the 2015 Mustang convertibles. The Build and Price will be updated to remove it as an option.

I'm not showing that the ESP will disable the interior trunk release button but it will monitor the trunk itself.

The Active Anti-Theft System, part of the Enhanced Security Package, does a couple of things to keep an eye on the trunk. When all the doors are closed, the system monitors doors, hood, trunk, interior motion, and vehicle inclination.

When locking the vehicle with the ignition key in the driver’s door, this also arms the other doors, hood, and trunk.

Hello Rachel,
Thanks for answering my questions about the ESP option for convertibles. I have another question in regards to an option for the GT convertible. On the build and price site, it does not allow the "Spoiler Delete" option to be used without removing the "50th Anniversary Appearance Package." Is this going to change or be updated as I, like so many, like the Mustang better without the spoiler. It is allowing me to delete it on the coupe but not the convertible.

Thanks in advance for your response!

You're very welcome!

The Build and Price will also be updated to reflect that the Spoiler Delete option is not available with the 50th Anniversary Appearance Package for either the coupe or the convertible.

Oh well, hopefully Ford will reconsider and make the Spoiler Delete option available with the 50th Anniversary Appearance Package.

I just purchased the enhanced system from my local dealer. part # fs7z-19a361-a. My dealer doesn't know how to install it. Contacted tech support line at 800-FORD-KEY. They couldn't help either. WTF am I suppose to do with it now. The dealer does not take returns on electronic parts. I've got a new 2015 GT... Any help is appreciated!:paddle:
