At a typical track day you may reach 1.2 lat-g or a bit more even on street tires. Never mind the idea that at one track day or maybe inside of just one session you'll be above 0.9g more times than the average GTPP owner will get over the entire time that he owns it.

At anything much past about 0.8 g, oil is not much inclined to drain back into the pan - the resultant g-force from gravity + cornering g's is directed pretty much straight at the sides of the drain holes/channels and will just pile up in the outboard cam cover until you either hit the next straight or turn the other way. PCVs and crankcase air lines typically connect to the cam or valve cover.

If a catch can was truly needed why wouldn't the factory supply this? I am on the fence on whether this is really a need to have.....
Ford Racing has released one...I think there is enough evidence of how they work and the fact it does what it is supposed to do. Not an expensive mod either. Well worth the piece of mind.

I think that there is no doubt that it does what it is supposed to do, but I'm not sure that Ford Racing selling it validates the need.

What I'd really like to know is - is the function it performs really necessary?

Really necessary? No. Desirable? Yes.

Nope. Do you think they are going to let the stupid consumer be responsible for emptying a oil container every 5,000 miles that is connected to the PCV and emissions system? It would cause more problems than it prevents. A better argument is that these motors are fine with burning a bit of oil. I agree with that but I also know that its better to not burn oil at all. Your car will be fine without one. Maybe its better to have one. Its a $200 insurance policy for a $38,000 car.

This being port injection, not so much to worry about. Direct Injection? You should see the buildup in a catchcan after about 6 months on the PCV side.

Either way, it's a small investment knowing where the oil is going rather than through your engine.

I received the Magnaflow exhaust from Moddiction within two days of placing the order. I had some initial concerns as the box arrived with shoe prints on the box and the box was open. After inspection of the parts everything looks to be here. Hopefully nothing is damaged when i put this on.....

We try to use extra amounts of packing material for this reason. The shipping companies tend to be really rough on packages. We hope nothing is damaged, but if you do notice anything, please contact your dealer as soon as possible.

I would like lowering springs but I cannot find enough information on stock PP spring rates to find out which aftermarket springs would work best. It is my understanding that your shocks/struts are designed to work with a certain spring rate. When you start mixing and matching performance falls off quickly. Not an expert just what I have researched. Does anyone know what the stock PP spring rate is front and rear?
For all the answers to your questions regarding suspension reach out to Kelly, aka BMR Tech

If you have a Performance Pack car the spring rates are 165 Front and 728 Rear

I put MagnaFlow on my Corvette and the packing was second to none. No damage issues.

For track days we normally recommend JRZ's as this is something we install on all of our track prepped vehicles and even our personal cars. Depending on your budget a spring and shock combo might be best.

Koni, as you probably know, is very well known. We would also recommend Koni, perhaps with a swift spring setup as this is something we install with our JRZ at times to retain ride comfort and quality. Swifts are only a 1.1in drop in the front and a 1.0in drop in the rear.

Good luck with what you decide to go with. We're always here if you need anything! :)

Car is in storage so it may be a little bit before I get it installed. Either way thanks for the feedback. If there are issues I will let the dealer know.

CORSA! I just got my Corsa Sport installed and the sound is intoxicating, I would literally just sit at a redlight and rev it just to hear it because it sounds so good. No drone at all!
