Lawyer up. They will take you seriously.

My car has had piston slap since day 1 and still does after 21500 miles. This is not it.

What I suggest you do is find an owner who can bring his car with yours in to the dealer who has the piston slap and have techs take a ride in both cars.

That's actually a good idea on having two GT350s side by side. With that said, I've got an oil change due in a few weeks.

Chad, if Haris thinks this might work for you, I don't mind scheduling a day where we can both drop off our cars to Haris to help build your case.

Yeah - if any of those service techs try to tell you that is piston slap I would find their ASE certificate and tear it up. :eyebulge:

I would drive it the way it is meant to be driven. If it blows up so what? That is what the warranty is for.

^^^ This.

Unfortunately this is the only language these companies understand. I went through something similar with a 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ. Had to get a lawyer.

I will never buy a GM product ever again; all because how they treated me and warrantying their product. Shame too, because they have some products.

That’s sounds awful...sounds like the timing chain is hitting something. Hope you get it sorted.

Was going to say this - sounds like a broken guide or something like that. If it hasn't slapped valves, it could soon.

If it hasn't made that sound in front of them, I cant fault them for calling it normal but I have to believe, if you show them this video, they should be on your side.

Good luck.

The last service center reproduced the sound.

I work in Sunnyvale, my car also eats oil, but runs fine otherwise. I've got almost 30,000 miles on it with several track days. If you ever want to meet at a dealer to show a counter example of "normal", feel free to message me.

Your car does not sound right IMO.

If you don't mind me asking, how much oil is your car consuming?

NOT piston slap. Wow, that's horrific. Don't give up.

I think it's around a quart every 1500 miles or so.

I'll need to go back through my GT350 Experience thread and check. I try to document all the additions there for reference.

At this point, I'm just considering it part of the ownership experience.
