It doesn't seem like the Gt's are having as many issues. A oil pump gear here and there. I've been in that forum watching a lot over the last few months since I was sure I was getting a GT sometime soon. The earlier coyotes seem to have had there issues though.
That pricing on the built engine is not too bad. especially if you don't need to give a donor. And then the fun would really begin with the power you put put into it pretty safely. I just wish I could cheaply put rods and piston in my current motor. But that damn CPO warranty I have always gets in the way.

Any chance you guys know whats the chance we need to replace our head if the rod blows. I would assume a pretty good chance? I always assume with these rods blowing that need to get a complete engine.

Vert turbo!!!!
When I go to restaurant or somewhere with my car, many people give me compliments about the sound my GT and how beautiful it is. It didn’t happened much when I had EB.
I liked my EB a lot, and I like my GT a lot. I like both of them.:)

So people gravitate to that silver GT emblem on the side of the car?

If you went from an EB coupe to a vert GT, I could see getting more compliments... I receive constant compliments... no one ever asks if it is a GT nor do they seem to care (unless at a car meet, different story though).

If you are going to post in the EB forum, at least come up with believable stories. :D

I've had my EB now for 6 months. I can say, absolutly , for me, it was the correct choice. I really like the feel and sound when the turbo kicks in. I've yet to drive the V8 Coyote so I can't comment on it personally. I love the sound of the V8. I understand the EB is lighter, more nimble , handles better and better weight distribution than the V8. When I factor in insurance cost for me living in Germany and I rarely do city driving, the EB is the best way to go. As a side note. A couple of weeks ago, after breaking in period was finished for my Mustang, I opened her up a bit on the autobahn. I hit 198km/h (123 mph) very easily with the stock motor. Still quite a bit of space between accelerator pedel and floor remained. My point is. My goodness, how often does anyone, excluding tracking , reach that kind of speed on any public road, highway or autobahn ? Even most autobahns have drasticially reduced speed limits compared to years ago. V8 or EB, doesn't matter, how fast can you really drive no matter what motor or hp / ps you have ? Just enjoy the hell out of your pony. :ford:

Anyone who has to ask you what engine is in it, doesn't know a thing anyways. If asked which engine I have, I just tell them "The one with the flat plane crank and turbo", and they walk away all amazed.
The most hilarious thing that happened to me was a 2009 Bullitt Owner trying to tell me only Shelbys and Ferraris have flat plane cranks:doh:

Doesn't matter what's under the hood in these cars people compliment because they look bad ass especially with the right wheels and lowered!!!

I don't consider a good street race anything but 100+ lol

And it sorta matters what's under the hood.. Maybe not so much liters but definitely upgrades and power

Lol, sorry, I didn't mean that people know the difference between GT and EB. What I wanted to say was people give me compliments about the exhaust sound and shape of coupe. Some of my friends told me that coupe look cooler than vert as well. I thought vert looks cooler than coupe... Well, everyone has different preference I guess...

There is a very good chance you will have to do work to the heads. I'm still waiting to find out if mine is salvageable or if I have to get a new one.

Were they both the same color? I get boatloads of compliments on the Ruby Red. Of course the birds love red.
