My car is getting built tomorrow with an ETA of April 4th. Hopefully everything will go smooth sailing.

This is my third time ordering a Mustang, and so far it has always been a pleasant experience with no delays. Fingers crossed.

Have you called FP ?
I have.

No problem, I'll post pictures. Trailer in using is pretty low with a long door. But at the advice of this forum I also picked up some race ramps so that should help me out quite a bit. Search for the trailer ing thread and I attached an excel on there that lets you know based on your trailer dimensions and dimensions of the car, what you need for clearance.
So Tom, how did it go ? Be sure to post some pics .

It was an adventure! I'll have to post some tomorrow since I can't seem to post from my phone.

Some quick notes.
It was raining when I picked the car up...you can spin the tires easily on wet race ramps. Almost ended badly.
My race ramps are the TR-8's.
I brought extra pieces of 2x4 and some thin 1x12. I actually needed to use the 2x4's to help elevate before getting onto the ramps and then since the door had a flip down ramp, I had to place a piece of 1x12 on the bottom face of the race ramp.
I cross strapped the tie downs to the wheels front and back. Didn't move an inch over 250 miles.
Btw car had 4.2 miles on it when I got it!
I'll share some pics tomorrow.

Congratz, she's finally home. Still haven't figured out why you needed the race ramps since you had flip down door.

Maybe pics will help understand it. I'll make sure to bring some 2X4's and 1X12's.

Did you have the splitter installed when loading the car ?

This car is low...I'm not sure I could even approach the door before I would hit with the splitter. Yes had it installed.
If you don't have race ramps or something similar, you should check the trailering thread for that excel I shared. It will show you where your interference point on your trailer will be based on the dimensions.
Essentially I had to get the front nose to point more upward to clear, after that things were good.

BTW, space is TIGHT in an enclosed. Not sure if there is any better way to tied a car down unless you have elevated platform in the trailer. I had to dukes of hazard it to get out of the car too.

And just realized in my haste to get buttoned up and back on the road, I didn't take any pictures with the race ramps!:headbonk:

That looks like a tight fit , how close are the car wheels to the trailer's wheel wells ?

Thanks for the pics Tom, i was hoping to see how you used the race ramps as i will also bring mine .

How do you like the car so far ? Nice ride BTW, looks so bad arce from the back.

Are these the race ramps you used ?

It was a very tight fit to the wheel wells, I was over slightly to the passenger side. Id say I had 4 inches on drive side and 2 on the passenger side.
Those race ramps you show are for maintenance. I have TR-8's

I love the car, gets a lot of attention too. Already have neighbors stopping by!
