I have hired a private vehicle transport Co to bring my 2016 non R across the country. Are there any problems to anticipate with loading/unloading? Any info on this would be appreciated. Having nightmares about monkey high centering

Have you seen and or met the person or persons shipping as well as the equipment. I just sold a vehicle and a private shipper came to pick it up for the buyer and I have to say I do not think I would ever do it, these guys were super nice, but... I don't have it in me to bash these guys, so all I can say is I would never do it after watching these guys work.

Look on ford website. There's a supplemental guide for gt350 under 2016 mustang manuals. It tells you in there the angles for putting car onto tow, loading it.

This may help. From the Ford instructions to the transport carriers.

Hire someone reputable like Reliable Carriers. Expensive, they quoted me 2K for taking my car from Florida to Arizona, but well worth it.

I will most likely be using intercity lines, no issue even with very low cars since they use a loading deck vs a ramp. Check their thread on Rennlist, quick a few happy customers on there

Most transit companies are brokers who put your car out there and get bids from truckers. The problem is you don't know what trucking company that you are getting. Only use a transit company that has their own drivers and trucks. Make sure they have proper insurance and get a firm quote. Deliver dates can vary by weeks some times. Remember brokers can sound like a moving co but they don't have their own drivers and are not recommended. I've shipped a lot and learned a lot over the years.
Never put down a deposit with a transit company until you know for sure they have their own trucks and drivers.

This is the way most inter-state move companies work too. And it always ends in tears. :(

Have you hired a reputable auto transport carrier and are you working directly with a carrier that has their own fleet?

Secondly are you hiring a carrier that is an open top carrier or an enclosed van carrier?

I have transported numerous vehicle within the U.S. and also to and from the U.S. and Canada.

I can highly recommend Exotic Car Transport out of Orlando and TFX out of Mississauga, Ontario for any cross border transport moves.

Both are enclosed car transport carriers and you will not have any loading or unloading issues.

Good luck!

I agree exotic car transport is a good choice. Never had a problem and they keep you updated on the move . They have their own trucks and drivers.
