Open trailer to transport - suggestions

Do not use a car cover, it will flap and beat the paint to death. Just go with the painter's tape and you will be fine. I hauled my race car around on an open trailer and never suffered any damage that I can recall that wasn't caused by the racing itself.

Absolutely no to the cover, just google the subject. Make sure the tow vehicle has mud /stone flaps, even temporary ones. The truck tire's are the rock and debris launchers.
