Well, I pulled the trigger on a trailer. I ordered an all aluminum (frame and all) trailer through a dealer in CT. It is a "Lightning" trailer, and I built it with every option I wanted so I am extremely excited to get it.

8.5x20
Fully aluminum frame
Screwless aluminum sides
One piece aluminum roof
5,200 Lb Torsion Axles
Large escape door
Beavertail floor
2 Tone color
Recessed E track (centered to my cars wheel base)
D Rings
White vinyl interior walls & ceiling
Rubber floor
V nose
Scissor jacks (to allow loading when not hitched to truck)
Rear bogey wheels to prevent damage from bottoming out
Aluminum floss out ramps
Ramp/floor transition plate

Here is the blueprint of my exact setup

Nice!!!

But i really think you should call up and get the 22+V. You will thank me when u want to put a cooler, chair's maybe a set of tires ect in there. You dont want to put stuff in the bed of the truck if u have a trailer

I had thought of this, but I am trying to get the weight as low as possible. This one is gonna come in around 3,300 pounds + 4,300 pound car puts me at 7,600 without anything in it or including the wife and I, plus our luggage for said trips. The Raptor is stated to pull max of 8,000 pounds.

I just sent an email to ask what the extra 2' might weigh.

You know those wives always say every inch counts , so let's see what his reply email says.

This was definitely on my short list, however I was able to get more options, and everything else I wanted for less money. I also liked the block raised floor, allowing me to not have to remove the fender to open the door. I can open the door normally, and stand on the fender as well to walk past it.

The ATC is a beautiful trailer, enjoy it :like:

I hear ya, but man, theresn1 thing u dont wanna regret, its 2 more feet to make loading unloading and a couple extra day items that much easier. Airbags will.solve tbat raptor issue..
And the rest, weight distribution anti sway and DEFINITELY the electric trailer jack, are things yiu will want to learn through experience, so that u fully appreciate the $ spent lol

I do hear you loud and clear my friend.

Weight distribution with anti sway is an absolute definite.

I didn't order with the electric trailer jack to keep the cost down, and to get the man-u-l one with the trailer for backup purposes (incase of a dead electric one). Can I assume the electric one is a straight up swap with the hand crank one? Where does it get the electricity from? The trailer wiring? Sorry, this is all new to me.

Its an easy 20 minute swap for the E jack, but you will have to mount a battery box. I did with a solar trickle charger. Jack up trailer front, put on jack stands and its 3 bolts

You wont need it for a while, but one day your gonna say F-this and get it. I splurged and got one with remote control to raise and lower while watching in backup camera

I played around on the inter webs last night and it looks like a lot of them are very tall, which will not et my tailgate drop without hitting it. I am sure there are ones that will not be so tall, but I did find one that simply plugs into the 7 pin connector for power. Anyway, nothing but time before I need it, so that's good. I need to stop myself from pimping this thing out lol. I already have multiple worm holes haha.

$400 to add the extra 2 feet, and it will add roughly another 200lbs, so I pulled the trigger.

22'x8.5 it is :like:
