Kind of LoL, my Samsung gets weird after about a month of constant operation,

I only had to do this once in the 8 months I owned my 'Stang, and if this is the biggest problem I'm going to have with it then color me extremely happy!

Thanks all for your help and comments on this. Car is with dealer who has found the following DTCs:

P2585 fuel additive control module
P0148 fuel delivery error

Supports my suspicion that ECU is fuel cutting, hence the sharp deceleration. A little worried as to the source of the issue, but will keep anyone interested or suffering similar issues updated on this thread.

Had a look into P2585 - this relates to fuel additives for diesel engines - dealer swiftly corrected their previous statement and confirmed only code present is P0148.

Solution is to replace fuel pump (3-6 weeks for delivery to UK!).

Thought this was interesting given Kjewer1's post about issues with stock HPFP:

Hopefully the new pump may cure the "light" misfires I was experiencing at idle (no misfire DTCs).

Would love to pull the original (faulty) pump apart and see what's up with it.

Finally after over 9 weeks the (in tank) low pressure fuel pump has been replaced and seems to have solved the issue, thank god!

Customer service has been appalling, despite the best efforts of the dealership.

Worst part is that dealer dismantled rear propshaft, diff, rear subframe in order to drop fuel tank from underneath, when all they needed to go was lift the rear seat from inside. Doh!

Nope, but I bet it's some chassis code they get regularly in the factory, then they fix it and the error stays in the memory. I had 14 miles or something on mine when delivered so can't think it's anything else.

Fuel pump has been running flawlessly since the (lengthy) repair. I think the issue occured when I first had rear seat passengers, so I bet they sat on the loose connection under the seat or something :headbonk:

Funny you mention that, mercedes just had a recall on the new E-class.

Someone sits in the rear seat, and the engine could quit...

My question to you guys is the following: I realize the main fuel pump is the high pressure cam driven pump that sits on the back left of the engine (with a foam shroud). Typically peak pressures of up to 2000 PSI.

I was not aware there was a secondary fuel pump in the tank. Is this secondary pump typically active when not into boost (aka the engine is essentially functioning like an NA engine)? Or is it a backup pump for limp mode only or both?

It is my understanding that the lpfp feeds the hpfp imrc.
