My argument is that the V8 can easily have force induction, the 4 can never have more cylinders. I'm glad you like your EB.

Mr billton is still arguing this lol.The first couple of Upgraded turbo kits are now out for the eco with more to come, its just going to get worse for you.Anyhow Why do you care so much if this 4 is faster/ makes more power than an 8?This isn't new ,evo and wrx have been laying waste to 5bros for awhile.I loved my v8 but I also knew some boosted fours were faster with their small FACTORY turbo never mind slapping a bigger one on it.

No, it's something a lot of reviews mention. The EB has better weight distribution, because the car is lighter and closer to 50-50, making it a fun car to drive in the mountain twisties, provided you option it right.

The BRZ fulfills a similar niche, FYI.

Better is subjective. Take the BRZ example. Is it faster? Not a f*cking chance. But a lot of people love them because they are fun to drive in that environment.

There's a reason I called it a better *weekend* canyon carver. It's so light up front, compared to the GT (it's almost 200lbs off the nose of the car) that you can toss it around the twisties like nobody's business. It's a real hoot to drive this way, and in my opinion (and that of many other reviewers) it's the more fun, engaging car in this scenario.

In an actual autocross race? No, not a chance. But I never made that claim, either.

You guys keep comparing the ecoboost to a gt, how about a procharged v6 mustang? As people always say, there is no replacement for a displacement! I feel for the ecoboost mustang owners here but that car is not meant for 100% performance, its mostly meant for fuel economy, low budget and for low insurance ratings.

You can boost the hell out of that car but it will only last you couple of thousand miles till you blow up that little engine. There are even stock camry's or kia optima turbo's out there putting down similar numbers as the ecoboost mustangs. Things would have been different if the car was a lot lighter maybe around 3300 lbs. Just enjoy driving it, its a mustang after all.

I really hate that term. I mean, if that were true, the 6.2L motor in the 5th gen Camaro would be everything. And it isn't, because it doesn't put out any more than the Ford 5.0 and it's mated to an overweight car.

The phrase ought to be modified to "if all things are equal, go for more displacement." Not very catchy, but a lot closer to truth. Things are rarely equal, however.

And I'm a fan of the boosted sixes. I love that "Killer6" Mustang rolling around with something like 700HP. It's proof that you can build up anything if you really want to do it!
