Forgive me, I'm more mechanical and computer oriented then acoustics...

My intention for this post was to explain the noise cancelation system instead of what classifies as "fake". This is why I changed the tile.

Yeah, I'm sure they spend forever and a half figuring out how to get the stock plumbing to sound good with the proper diameter tubing, right twists, and whatever they do with all of that hole punching and echo chamber hoo-ha. I like the latest fad of OEMs exaggerating the burble/crackling on overrun... not sure how that works... dump a spritz of unburnt fuel (like Benz's M156/159 equipped AMGs and the Jag F-Type). Noticed that most highish-powered modern cars do that.

The resonator and mufflers on a GT are a hindrance. Usually put there to comply across the country due to different areas across the US having different decibel laws with exhaust. They block the amazing 5.0 sounds hence why 99% of owners yank them out. They don't cancel out the"bad" sounds and enhance the experience..they cancel the good sounds and ruin the experience so no it's not the same based on the definition.

Based on the definition

"to conceal the defects of or make appear more attractive, interesting, valuable"

Stock resonators and exhaust do not enhance or enrich the sound of a 5.0. Not even the aftermarket honestly all I need are some header dumps and I would call that enhancing. It's not the same.

To avoid a unnecessary argument. You're reaching. Let's leave it.

I've heard this debate go on loads of times now but I've never actually seen a poster claim the EB outputs pre-recorded sound. Can anyone even point out to an instance of someone claiming its pre-recorded?

Usually debate goes like this one, where a potential EB owner proclaims it's not prerecorded or fake, then its explained noise cancelling is processing so it is fake in many ways. But it still sounds great.
