I assumed that the EB Mustang will fall short of the published fuel economy numbers, just like every other Ford does.
I have never had a problem exceeding the published numbers on the three previous Fords I have had. My Focus ST would easily get 34-35 mpg on the hiway and 30-31 during my 48 mile round trip suburban commute.

After 400 miles the Mustang is getting 24 mpg and that is with lots of stop and go and idling.

When I first got my car, the computer was high by about .6 mpg. After 4,000+ miles, it is now almost spot on.

I know many on the forum report it being off by over .8 - 1.0 or so.
That's not bad...some makes are off by a few, not fractions.

Not sure if you guys are aware but inconsistencies in filling your tank can cause up to a 1 mpg variation between a hand calculation and the trip computer.

Get a few tenths more in on one fill and a few tenths less on the next and you will get a higher mpg calculation on the next you get more into the tank and the calculation will be lower.

Even if you stop at the first click every time variations in the pump, nozzle, and how you are holding the nozzle from fill to fill will impact how much gas goes into the tank.

Logging at the pumps...

I had to log in the gallonage readings for my company car. I still have the habit. Once in a while, I compute the pump-mpg and then check against the
average mpg given on the dash computer. That way, I don't worry about the 'click-off' on the pumps.

really? Prof

My 2008 Fusion got 30 MPG rated 28, My 11 Mustang V6 got 31 MPG listed 29, my 2011 Mustang GT got 27 listed 26. My 2014 mustang listed 29 gets 32MPG.

Ease off the gas and speed. And yes the only car/truck I've ever drove that couldn't get sticker MPG is a Toyota Tundra

I've driven every Ford car in the lineup, on the same highway, with the cruise set to the same speed, and every single one of them fell short of the published number.

Congrats to those of you had a different experience.

On the highway normal driving about 30 to 32, fast highway driving 25 to 27. Local around 19 to 21 and driving it like I stole it as low as 14ish. I have the PP though so with 3.55 in the rear im expected to get lower than regular 3.31s
I get exactly this! With a manual EB PP. I've also noticed that my mileage seems to drastically improve if I let it warm up quite a bit when I take off (I see about 35-45 degrees in the mornings here).

My lead foot and track mode keep me around 22mpg city.

I've done two 500mi round trips that include city driving at the destination and average 30mpg +/-1mpg depending on which part of the trip you are looking at. Highest I've ever seen for a 2hr duration was 32mpg.

This is the first car I've ever had where I didn't meet or exceed the EPA estimates. Now that the weather's warming up I'm getting away from 22mpg and getting closer to 24 on mixed driving. I'm hoping it gets better, but really, 24mpg and 310hp. I'll take it.

Over the last few months, I think I've found my average MPG.

So far -- 5600 miles -- I'm at 23mpg since purchasing the car. This includes a remote start every morning.

I average 23-24mpg city. Highway I have seen as high as 35mpg depending on speed. Car seems to get better gas mileage @ 70mph than 60 lol

I used 89 gas for a 1500 mile trip and was going around 60-80 with 80% highway and averaged 27.9 and I was very happy.

Since this just got dragged up and I happened to update my records today I'll play. I've recorded miles to the tenth and gallons to the thousandth since day one.

From New. At my last fill up.

5236.4 miles. 197.332 gallons. A hand calculated average of 26.536 mpg. The car which hasn't been reset since new is saying 27.7 so just over 1 off.

I've seen as high as 29.48 and as low as 24.48 on an individual tank. Again hand calculated. I'm about 70/30 Hwy/City on average. The lowest was during the coldest weather not surprisingly.

I use 91 oct. Car sees about 300 miles a week for commute, with light city traffic on city highways and freeway/backroads. If I drive conservatively I can get 30MPG combined. If I start doing pulls the MPG starts dropping rapidly.

This past weekend was Comic Con and pure freeway trip computer said I was averaging close to 40 MPG every 7.5 mins, which took my city average from 24.1 up to 31MPG for the tank.

As some have said, car really seems to get better MPG the faster you go. Makes it VERY difficult to not speed on the freeway. ;)
