  1. So, my step-son wants to buy a Mustang.

Yeah, no. His insurance is high because he's a male under 25, and I'm guessing just got his license or has little to no driving experience? Mine was high as well since I didn't start driving till I was 22; never had a car in high school and didn't have time / need till I was done with my first...
  2. So, my step-son wants to buy a Mustang.

It's not a horrible deal. You can get a newer base model Ecoboost for around the same price. Is this his first car? If so, I really wouldn't go GT, but that's just me. I had a 2015 Ecoboost as my first sportscar, and it was plenty fast for me.
  3. Yaw or "sway" when accelerating?

Hey all! So, I just got my 2019 Mustang GT PP1 with magneride a few weeks ago, and I'm absolutely loving it. It's starting to get cold and wet around this part of the US, so I just put on my new winter tire set a few days ago (Pirello Sottozero 3's); they're quite awesome so far. I'm trying...
  4. Lot Rot?

So, I picked the car up last night! A mouse chewed through the sensor cable, or at least that's what they said. Either way, I absolutely love the thing so far. It rides a lot less bouncy and "rolly" than my 2015 EB PP, and oh my, the sound! It really is fantastic.
  5. Lot Rot?

Thanks! The only things I have planned for it are the black badges and a good quality vinyl wrap for the roof. We'll see what else comes down the road, though :D
  6. Lot Rot?

So, I bought a broken car. :cwl: Went to the dealership in Snohomish, and the salesman was pretty busy, so he's like "You can go and sit in the car and play around, kid." Ok, not quite, but I sat in the car, turned it on, and was greeted with Advancetrac warnings, hill start control warning...
  7. Lot Rot?

Yeah, the anxiety is real! I've been wanting a GT for a long time, and I was either going to get one at the end of this year, or just get a 2020 Mustang EB HPP (I know these are controversial around here, but it works for me.) My dealbreaker option for the GT's was Mageneride, and these don't...
  8. Lot Rot?

This makes me feel better :like:
  9. Lot Rot?

I found a 2019 GT Premium PP1 manual with Magneride, 400A, Active Exhaust, and B&O sound on a lot for $39K. The problem is, the blend date is 120190329. This is March 29, 2019, right? So, this car has been sitting on the lot for probably 6 months if you factor in shipping. Are there any...
  10. 2020 Ford Mustang Online Builder is Up

I omitted it because I use a different partner code :D
  11. 2020 Ford Mustang Online Builder is Up

I love how polarizing it is. A 4 cylinder Mustang, a great trim package, and an interesting color: Just enough to send bros spinning. I want. I also dug into Ford's marketing stuff on their page, and it looks like the bean-counters got to that grille first :(
  12. 2020 Ford Mustang Online Builder is Up

I also find it interesting that there isn't the offset tribar grill on the High Performance Package like there was when it was announced? :( This makes me sad.
  13. 2020 Ford Mustang Online Builder is Up

So, I've been going to fordpartner.com, entering my partner code, selecting "Vehicles & Pricing," and selecting "Mustang." The Build and Price link and the model year for the X-Plan pricing is still 2019. After clicking "Build and Price," I get the "Welcome X-Plan Participant" pop-up box...
  14. 2020 Ford Mustang Online Builder is Up

This really made my day. Hard to be focusing at work when I keep on configuring Ecoboost HiPos. However, is anyone else having issues with X-Plan pricing? 2019 still shows up as the model year, but I can change to 2020 once on the ford.com site. The updated pricing switches back and forth...
  15. Notchy Manual in EcoBoost

Hey all! My transmission has recently become pretty notchy between all gears on my 21k mile 2015 EB PP. While I think changing the transmission fluid to Royal Purple or something may help, is it worth taking it in to have the dealer look at it? Or should I just change the fluid myself? Also...
  16. Great video from one of the masters of engine tuning:

[ame] Great video from one of the masters of engine tuning. This guy is such a smooth talker, but really (seems) to know what he's talking about! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
  17. DICK'S MEET

Doh. I missed this one. I should see you all next month though!
  18. So I locked myself out of my car on Valentine's weekend....

I didn't close the door when I started the car. I just opened the door, sat down, foot on the break and clutch, started, turned on the heat and heaters, and put the keys in the tray (this is where I possibly hit the button). Then I closed the door and waited for the girl.
  19. So I locked myself out of my car on Valentine's weekend....

I guess the consensus so far is that I accidentally hit the button. That was a $125 dollar mistake, btw :) Well, $25 as the insurance covered the other $100. The locksmith / tow guy had to drive an hour away to get to us, and they were super expensive. I think in the future I'm going to use...
