ecoboost 6 speed performance?

I've searched and searched for any performance data on the ecoboost manual transmission car but found nothing. Do you folks suspect it will be noticably slower or faster than the auto?

I think it'll be noticeably more fun, with the auto being slightly faster on a drag strip and the manual slightly better on a track.

Noticeable difference, not at all. Difference in the fun factor, measured in light years.

Depends on the driver I would guess, but since motortrend got a 5.6, my guess is average drivers will be closer to 6.

Its really a bummer, to me, that those times sound similar to my 2007 328i with 230hp and 200tq

C&D got the auto with 3.55 to 60 in 5.2 seconds. Manual with 3.73 is probably 5.5ish

The manual comes stock with 3.73 right? The 3.55 is with the performance package?

My bad. Does not look like 3.73 are available on ecoboost. 3.55 come with performance pack for manual or are an option for auto or manual.

3.31 are standard.

I'm taking a best guess here, but in order of worst to best 0-60:
- 3.31 + manual
- 3.31 + auto
- 3.55 + manual
- 3.55 + auto

To the guys suggesting a tune: Yes, of course a tune will make the car faster, but to the OP's original question: the manual will be slower than the auto - assuming same gear ratio and same tune. Probably even a bigger gap after the tune, if you tune the auto tranny as well.

So I keep hearing that the auto's are faster than manuals now, but everything I can find online for the 2014 v6 mustang is showing the manuals coming in faster than the autos. Am I missing something here? Is the new auto significantly better than the old one? Or were the final drive ratios different between manuals and autos in 2014?

Also, it's looking like the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are slgihtly faster for the 2015 ecoboost than the 2014 v6 based on the media results, which is always a plus

0 to 60 times are all well and good, but I am more concerned with everyday driving and attempting to pass someone without the unknown timing of a downshift.
