The 1/4 might be slower with the 3.55 final in the PP auto due to an extra shift, but the 62 mark seems to just get clipped in the C&D testing with that setup. I'd imagine that in gear acceleration would be quicker with the shorter final in any practical situation.I'm taking a best guess here, but in order of worst to best 0-60:
- 3.31 + manual
- 3.31 + auto
- 3.55 + manual
- 3.55 + auto
To the guys suggesting a tune: Yes, of course a tune will make the car faster, but to the OP's original question: the manual will be slower than the auto - assuming same gear ratio and same tune. Probably even a bigger gap after the tune, if you tune the auto tranny as well.
