I have a 2016 Base GT with no power mods. I thought about doing the Lund Flex Fuel tune. After browsing for E85 stations I found one near my job. I bought the test kit and got the same results twice. Why is it so low?

Allowable content is as low as 51%, find another station. Perhaps when they get a new load it will be higher.

What would be great is if someone would do something like gas buddy, but rather than price we sort by e content. I'd buy that app and pay for a subscription; I bet others would too.

I wouldn't mind paying. Sadly that would make life too easy.

The issue is if you don't have a flex tune (FI) and you head out to go fill up and everyone has bad E85 then you end up having to fill up with some. I typically try to stay 1/2 tank or more with the best I can find. That way if I am forced to low content it still averages out ok. Is it a pain, yes but the advantages of e85 out weigh the hassle. 1st world problems...

I’ve found most pumps around me say minimum E content of 51% but have been luckily enough to find a local station list “minimum E content of 70%” even in the dead of winter it was testing out at E75. So as stated above find another station and test, they all seem to vary.

Hopefully the other stations are better. I'll keep that in mind staying over 1/2 tank if I get the tune.

In the Phoenix area e is not a common offering. We have flex fuel which is e54ish and a couple of good spots with consistent 85-90. Because of this just run flex tune full time but race days definitely go out of the way for the good stuff even if less convenient. But the power difference (and cooling here in the desert) makes it more than worth playing the game.

I think I would prefer to have e54 in my area over e85, the timing you can add to e54 is just about the same that you can add with e85, and there is less stress on your fuel system. I could pulley down and make alot more power without going return style if I had e54 local and a tuner that would tune for that.

Op's fuel looks like e40 or less though

Station #2 They didn't even advertise or come up as a station with E85. Only reason I found out because I heard this loud modded Scat Challenger so I looked and saw the faded yellow handle lol.

Station #3 is a little out the way and could be a good alternate.

That looks much better! Just test often and you’re good to go.
