I read recently that Ford recommends running normal pump gas every fifth tank in their flex fuel vehicles, so today I filled up with 91 octane e10 for the first time since installing the Lund tune. Within a few miles the alcohol% on the Ngauge went from 77.8 to 28.7 and the engine continued to run flawlessly. Idle AFR on the factory gauge went from ~10 to ~13.

How long have you run the Lund flex tune? Happy with it? Is the car significantly more lively? What's mileage like on it compared to what you got on 91?

I have run it for several months and love it. MPG is about 10-30% lower depending on what %alcohol is in the tank, but I only pay $1.97 per gal. vs. about a dollar more for 91 so the difference in cost is negligible.

Last couple tanks have been really great. Adding a bit of Lucas stabilizer has really helped with some of what seemed like inconsistencies from tank to tank. I have been adding it after the ALC percentage has been learned directly after each fill up. Might be nothing but I'm not sure if it would throw off the deductive logic.

I plan on doing the injector upgrade at some point anyway as I respect the opinions over at AED.

mixed driving i get 180-200 miles per tank, per the computer.

I have noticed, and feel especially with E85 my car originally had what felt like 3 main levels of pull as I transitioned the throttle from tip-in to WOT as it was in the powerband.

It may be just a calibrated But Dyno, or that It just flies through the rpm so much faster however there really only feels like 2 levels of pull. It may just be due to the e85 tune bumping right to the second level off of tip in.

It feels more binary, on or off, not as much variability to me. It does not seem to mach necessarily the Lund dyno where the improvements are pretty consistent across the RPM, to me it feels like I gain it all down lower and WOT is just marginally better. It may just be because it is a canned tune, and I also have the stock CAI.

I plan on going with bigger Injectors before I get long tubes / exhaust to be safe.

Interesting you have a reduction in performance from idle to 3.6-7k.

Tune related, or maybe the Kooks dont like as much timing lower.

any other factors?
