The flex tune enables you to run any percentage of ethanol between 0% and 85%. Whatever fuel you use still must meet the minimum octane requirement of the engine which is 91. So you could run 93 whether or not it had ethanol.

Sounds like a flex fuel tune would be preferable to an e85 tune. Is a flex fuel tune available yet?

Yes. Lund and livernois do flex fuel tunes.

Thanks for the mention Voodooo!
The reason why FF would be the preference is because you do not have to worry about calculating ethanol percentages, worrying about e85 fill stations or anything. With our FF tuning you can use premium and/or e85! No worrying involved! You fill up with the fuel that you have available to you at the time!

Will the E85 tune have any other effects on the engine? I know it produces more hp due to higher octane but for longevity purposes how does E85 treat the engine if I were to run only e85 as my daily driver.

Tune wise what is changing? (New to this)

If anything e85 would increase longevity. Ethanol burns much cleaner than gasoline. thus leaving minimal combustion chamber and valve deposits. According to Propel Fuels:

"Ethanol reduces tailpipe carbon monoxide emissions by 30%, reducing smog and air toxins, such as benzene, by 21%, and tailpipe particulate matter (PM 2.5) emissions by 50%. Ethanol is rapidly biodegradable in surface water, ground water and soil. Next-generation ethanol produced from cellulosic materials can offer even greater benefits with an 85% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions."

So how is the tune?
I filled up with 100 octane and really feel the car picked up some in the midrange at least per my butt dyno .
However @$9 a gallon obviously not something I want to do on a regular basis .
I could ,since car is not a daily driver but E85 is even higher octane and I assume the tune will also have more timing than the stock tune can add.
I suspect the flex tune would also make more power if you choose to run 100
Octane

What brand of fuel did you buy for $9.00 a gallon? I bought a 55 gallon drum of Sunoco 260GT which is 100 octane for $366.46 a drum or $6.66 a gallon. The problem with pump E85 is its quality. You should test it with a test tube tester before filling up. My problem with pump 93 or E85 is its quality. Most people today at least in my area "Toledo Ohio" buy the cheap 87 octane shit and who knows how long the 93 or E85 has been in the holding tanks. But I'm not disputing the performance that E85 offers.

I hear you.
When I ran E85 in my 12 and On3 car(both traded now) I always tested .
I assume this will not be necessary with the flex tune .

im running e50 effectively 52 percent right now, its like a new car. Much better torque and pull. Even with e85 not necessarily being 85 for 180 a gallon I am a believer.
