For this "type" of supercharger, the answer is Whipple.

so it IS all about money! :clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:I'm guessing cost and production availability.
Probably is cost. Because if they did a Whipple, they'd have to beef up the drive train because of all the low end/instant-like POWAAAA before the accountants would sign off on offering a warranty.I'm guessing cost and production availability.
You're going to be smiling from any PD blower install. Coyote motors do a fantastic job with a little bit of boost. Twin screws from what I have always heard, run typically cooler and produce more peak power than a roots style blower. But again the advertising team on this forum does a phenomenal job boasting their product. It created a lot of whippled s550's.Yeah lots of installs with happy customers singing their praises is pretty good advertising.
I think what created a lot of Whippled Mustangs is they are the most powerful 50 state SC kits.... by far.But again the advertising team on this forum does a phenomenal job boasting their product. It created a lot of whippled s550's.
You posted an sales pitch article from 10 months ago where the highlight is:This is one of the articles I have read: http://www.onallcylinders.com/2015/...-force-supercharger-for-2015-16-mustang-5-0l/
You be the judge ....
Tell me more about how their CARB kit with 50 lb injectors is going to make oh so much power... You're looking at sub 600 RWHP with their tune...Company officials are expecting to release final dyno numbers, which will reportedly show well over 200 additional horsepower for Coyote-equipped sixth-generation Mustangs.
You can install a blower and you can't properly fill oil, that's impressive.Once again, the guys who are interested in Edelbrock's unit can't be left alone by the Whipple guys. A couple of things the Edelbrock guys should know, after reading both installation manuals from cover to cover:
2) With Edelbrock, the S/C is pre-filled and sealed with the S/C oil - with Whipple you have to add it after the fact and then if you accidentally overfill it, you may damage the S/C. I wouldn't want to have that problem.
To the Whipple guys, more power to you. But please respect other people's opinions, thoughts and desires. This was a thread about Edelbrock and again the Whipple guys once again come in and trash everything that's not Whipple.
My Whipple came with a tuner. I also have the Flight Control software.1) With Edelbrock, it comes supplied with a tuner so that you don't have to send your PCM to Whipple to have it re-flashed and therefore have no adjustability unless you want to buy your own separate tuner.
You are seriously bitching about it not being pre-filled? "If you accidentally overfill it"... There is an oil sight glass... Fill it halfway... DONE... So someone can install the SC kit but can't be trusted to fill the oil halfway to the sight glass? LOL.2) With Edelbrock, the S/C is pre-filled and sealed with the S/C oil - with Whipple you have to add it after the fact and then if you accidentally overfill it, you may damage the S/C. WHAT specifically needs to be cut structurally with the Whipple?3) With Edelbrock, there is very little, if any, cutting of any structural or plastic member of the engine bay where there is cutting of certain components in the Whipple installation.
Spends thousands upon thousands of dollars on an SC kit... Get's hung up on the cheaper, far less powerful kit because of less steps... :headbonk:4) The Edelbrock installation manual is 25 pages with 128 steps. The Whipple installation manual is 58 pages with 198 steps. Which do you think is more difficult to install?
See in blue above.Once again, the guys who are interested in Edelbrock's unit can't be left alone by the Whipple guys. A couple of things the Edelbrock guys should know, after reading both installation manuals from cover to cover:
1) With Edelbrock, it comes supplied with a tuner so that you don't have to send your PCM to Whipple to have it re-flashed and therefore have no adjustability unless you want to buy your own separate tuner.
Whipple also has a supplied tuner called the Flare tool so you don't have to send in your PCM. Whipple tune is also hands down the most comprehensive and tested tune with the most innovative options on the market. Flight control and guardian features seen by no other.
2) With Edelbrock, the S/C is pre-filled and sealed with the S/C oil - with Whipple you have to add it after the fact and then if you accidentally overfill it, you may damage the S/C. I wouldn't want to have that problem.
Filling the Whipple is easy no danger in overfilling, it takes the entire bottle they send you takes 1 minute.
3) With Edelbrock, there is very little, if any, cutting of any structural or plastic member of the engine bay where there is cutting of certain components in the Whipple installation.
Also with Whipple they are almost no cutting, one 1.5' hole in the plastic next to the radiator and another small trimming of plastic next to the I/C tank front behind front bumper and 2 heater hose lines are spliced into that's it.
4) The Edelbrock installation manual is 25 pages with 128 steps. The Whipple installation manual is 58 pages with 198 steps. Which do you think is more difficult to install?
Doesn't mean the Edelbrock is easier to install because the manual has less steps. It could mean the manual is less complete leaving you scratching your head.
And yes, Edelbrock is coming out with a Stage 2 and Stage 3 unit. And no, I don't work for Edelbrock.
To the Whipple guys, more power to you. But please respect other people's opinions, thoughts and desires. This was a thread about Edelbrock and again the Whipple guys once again come in and trash everything that's not Whipple.

He asked for opinions, he got them, he didn't like them. Add any analogy here where someone asks a question and gets answers that they didn't want to hear.
You SURE you don't work for Edelbrock lol?

BOTTOM LINE: The Edelbrock PERFORMANCE WISE is inferior. Hands down. No questions asked.
I think we covered that oneSee in blue above.
