So I bought the correct horn and tried replacing it without disassembling anything and was unaware that the backing the screw goes in is simply hanging. Of course it dropped into oblivion. Any ideas on how to mount the horn now?

I bought the PIAA dual horns. 400 & 500 Hz, 115 decibels. My 2019 GT Premium came with dual horn mount but only one lousy horn. I had to rig up wiring by soldering additional horn connectors. I used standard bolt, nut and lock washers to mount it. Sounds great now. Had to disable double-honk feature when walking away w/ engine running.

I got the bracket back on. I used a magnetic tool to fish it out and then a bunch of effort with my hand. Got this done yesterday.

I ended up taking 5-6 plastic rivots out of the driver side fender well and using a coat hanger to fish the backing out. Had a helper hold the horn bracket from above while I screwed the bolt back onto the bracket. Really poor design IMO. Sounds MUCH better now.

I know the difficulty. I had to duck tape an open end wrench to a long wrench extension in order to tighten nuts and bolts. my hands have scars from cuts. There's a plenty of room down there, just can't get to it good.

I had my front fascia off last week and took a good look at the horn mount. It's the simplest thing in the world to do if you take the fascia off first.

I might install a Leslie locomotive horn.

The Leslie is a real killer and requires an air compressor but 85 percent of all locomotives have one and they sound really good.

Nothing sounds like the PIAA Dual Horns. The best in the market.

Thanks to my upgraded & louder PIAA dual horn upgrade I was able to warn a truck driver pulling a boat on interstate. His trailer blew a tire and start spewing tire rubbers across the interstate. I pulled up to his side and honked until he looked and I pointed finger to his trailer. He pulled over and waved me away saying thanks. The trailer wheel had no rubber left.
