I've never driven a Mustang GT, hell I've never driven a V8.

I currently have a 2015 V6 Stang and to me, it's fast enough for the road and it looks great. It is a manual trans so it adds a lot to the fun factor. Once I hit 2nd gear around 3.5-4krpm is when I really feel the car comes alive and I can really hear the exhaust screaming.

I've always been curious as to how driving the GT feels, I don't want to test drive at a dealer because I don't like doing that unless I know I'm looking to get the car. Did anyone here go from a V6 to a GT, how was the experience?

Multiply everything by at least 2 and that's how it feels. The V6 is quick, but at no point when I drove them did I ever get surprised by it. The GT is the fastest car I've owned, and the power took some time to get used to. I was giggling the first time I did a WOT 2nd gear pull from 4K rpm.

Modern V6's have gotten really good with power levels. I had a Camaro RS V6 about five years ago. But you can't really compare the torque of a naturally aspirated V6 to V8. But even more important to me would be the sound. Nothing like the sound of V8 with a good exhaust.

The good thing about the Mustang V6 is that it'll be lighter on the front, making it a fun handler.

Think that over. Once you test drive, you're never going to like your car as much as you do now. So think about whether you're ready to handle it...

You're right... a 2015 Mustang GT pulled up next to me a while back and when he took off.....his was pretty much "banshee screaming".

The 2015 V6 has the same hp as the 2009 V8 - 300HP

I read a lot of stupid and immature posts on this forum about how a V6 is not OK. The fact is. With variable valve timing, Ford have put out a beast and it has been a beast for a number of years. The V6 is doing NA HP wise now what was only being done a decade ago with forced induction through a 6 cylinder and it took a V8 to get the same power NA.

Sure the V8 is faster, but the V6 is no slouch at all. It is a great engine.

If you want the extra power, get the V8 though... The time to ask the question was probably before you bought it..

Im sure its just like the difference was in the 3.5L Charger vs my Hemi 5.7 charger, which was a night and day difference. That being said, after the last 7 years with my modded Hemi Im more then content with my v6 stang. I bought it for looks, not to race.
