I work from home, so no concept of a daily commute, but have put hundreds of miles on them.

I run mine all the time, even when towing my trailer. But I'm an old hardcore racer.

I'd like to go into 15'' rims with DOT Hoosiers, mainly for weight issues and also because I like high profile DOTs stance on 15''.

What are your rims sizes? Tires?

Thanks.

I have info but it's early so what I know at this point will change with time. I have been running 17" Race Stars skinnies up front on 185/55/17 M&Hs, buy switching to the full on race 28/17 M&H skinnies and Aluma Stars there was only a 9lb per wheel difference, not much for allot of money. Now the 28"s are taller so a 26" full race skinnie maybe a pound or so lighter. But my experience with the full race skinnies is they don't hold up well on over the road driving. M&H 185/55/17 are not a steel belted radial, so they're pretty light but more road friendly.
The rears I've been running are the Race Star 17x9s with 295/45/17 Mickey DRs. Yesterday with the same thought as you I switched to 15"x8" RTS Welds and a bias-ply M&H Cheater Slick, 19lbs a wheel lighter. I could only muster an 11.28 & 1.65'. They were brand new, so maybe once they're seasoned I'll get better numbers. Needless to say it was disappointing. Same day I put my 38lb heavier 17"s back on and ripped a 11.23 with 1.58 60'.
Now as I said at the beginning, I'm sure this data will change, but for an old school racer like me, it made me change my thinking about DRs. I'll still try this again, but not till next year.
Brakes, I went with AEROSPACE COMPONENTS brakes. I still have to figure a couple things out with them, as this is a new car and new items will need tweaking.

Thanks for your answers, I appreciate that.

Indulge me for asking also what's the CF Watson hood compared with stock alu and how come you fixed aerospace lightweight brake kit at the rear but kept your stock brake at front which actually looks pretty heavy, at least in my car.

This is the stance I'd like to get on my 2015 GT...

My C3 Vette fully moded and lightened to 1260kgs, 15 lightweight rims front and rear with DOT Hoosiers, they're good for street drive and when warm will put full power on a (smooth and dry) surface...

There's not much weight savings over the stock aluminum hood....10lbs, I did it mostly for looks and the CJ IM (intake manifold).
Well you might like these pics below for the type of setup your going after. My Welds on the rear are 15x8.33 with 4.5 BS(back spacing) Medium Pad, with plenty of room for their 15x9.33. I had a short rear tire trying to simulate adding gear.
I do have brakes for the front, I should have them on soon. AEROSPACE COMPONENTS. I'm not sure they have a Road Race oriented brake setup.
I love your Corvette, it looks mean.

Nice. I'd like to run something like this but black wheels as a daily driver

How did you get the 15s on? I have heard 15s will not work on the rear. I have a set of 15x10 Racestars collecting dust.

I couldn't find any Street/strip Wheel fitting 2015 GT Mustangs in the Weld website...

What rim did you use back and front?

Is it posible to use 15'' at the front end too?

Sorry for bothering you this much...:D

Front is a 17x4
Rear is a 15x8.3 4.5BS

The front brakes I'll be putting on will accept 15" wheels, but I'm switching to a S197 spindle to do so.

Aerospace makes a front brake kit, but I'm not sure it will clear a 15" wheel. Here's the link http://shop.aerospacecomponents.com/4pistonfrontprostreetkit2015mustangvrdsp.aspx
