No E85 here in the state of Connecticut either. I run 93 only and I tune my own cars.

Over drive Will lose races and reduce quarter mile times, reason why too low a gear ratio Will slow you down, seen it many times
4th gear is NOT an overdrive in a 6R80. Only 5th & 6th gears are overdrives.

The only weight reduction is the remove of the front sway bar. He still had 19'' front tire (and I was wrong, is best mph is 126.26 (but normally 122-123) :)
Then he's putting down at least 493 rwhp to trap 122, and over 540 rwhp to top 126 mph. So, there are quite a few more mods in his car than you've listed.

Once a 5.0L/6R80 makes that much power and traps that high, 4.10 gears would be the wrong choice as it would require shifting into 5th. 3.15 or 3.31 gears make more sense for a car like this.

Conversely, my 5.0L/6R80 doesn't quite use all of 4th gear with the 4.10's as I only trap 117-118 mph in the 1/4 (it only puts down around 435 rwhp). I'm still in the power and accelerating through the traps, so the 4.10's work great for my car.

Every car and combo is slightly different - even cars that appear to be the "same" on the surface. So glad there are so many gear ratios available so we can fine tune what works best for any particular combination.

I hear ya! I'm doing the same! 12.30's so far, trying for 11's

There is a lot more in your car. I have the same headers and catback. I have a JLT CAI and Lund 93 tune. The only difference is I am automatic with a stall. My car has been [email protected] and a [email protected]. The car was picking up knock so the 1/4 time and mph fell off

3.55. Bone stock, 3.31 NA and 3.15 power adder any lower a gear ratio with stock auto even with stall slows you down
There isn't much difference between the 3.15-3.55 cars. Look at the top two power adder cars. One is a 3.15 car. One is a 3.55 car. They are within a hundredth of each other.

I have a question on wheels. I'm thinking of selling my 2013 and picking up a 2015 that is still in the dealer show room (or maybe ordering a 2016, still up in the air). On my 2013 I have Race Star Dark Stars for the track, 15x8 rear and 17x4.5 front. They are direct drill for the S197 - will those fit the S550 or will I need new wheels?

Bolt pattern is the same, you will need new direct drill lugs.

The rears won't fit IIRC without the aerospace rear brakes. Fronts should be just fine with the standard brakes, maybe a 1/4" spacer as well. You'll need 18x5's for a Brembo car.

Thanks, so sounds like I need to let my wife know that a new set of rear wheels and tires will be needed!
