Does anyone have any experience with P1 Tuners

So, if i load a Lund tune on my cars computer, then read it with pcmtec, can I modify from there?

You would need to get in contact with the guy Mike is referring to. The current software version of PCMTEC will not read a locked Lund tune like it used to in the past.

Years ago, PCMTEC software would be able to read almost any tune. We pulled several PBD, Shoemaker, and Lund tunes at the time that were previously locked and were to edit and modify them with the PCMTEC software.

The tune I currently run started life as a Lund tune file which we tweaked to create a custom OS multi tune. I use my laptop and PCMTEC software with an OBDX cable to flash car now.

I believe over the past year or so, the ability to read locked tunes has been removed.

We still offer the ability to descramble osids that have been "locked" however if they have been locked within our ecosystem via our own tuner lock we respect the tuner lock and do not allow it to be descrambled.

Lund utilise our software and hence anything they tuner lock via PCMTEC our software will not unlock. The same goes for any other tuner using PCMTEC who utilises our tuner lock function.

This is to protect the tuners IP.

All I can say is about P1tuners: These guys are awesome. Dan is super helpfull and friendly, he is the owner of P1, he and Rob have tons and tons of experience.

I did come across him last summer through social media and I decided to go Twin Turbo, custom fuelsystem etc. I wasn’t really experienced there was no problem, I could ask them everything. Rob from P1Tuners is the guy that got me settled up for the most part, we came across multiple issues, which where all hardware related and on me but Rob diagnosed them real quick and he is the wizard behind the computer.

After couple of months day in day out they helped me, communication was good too - I live in The Netherlands, but these guys tried really there best to help me out as much as they can while having 7h time difference.

The car drives and feels great. Dan did set me up with 4 maps, normal, ghostcam, poptuning etc etc.

I am 1000% so happy I went with P1 - they helped me out even if the fault wasn’t on them, pretty sure Lund & Shoemaker & Wengered etc. Would never went that far to help me with all the hardware related issues. I learned alot, and whenever I need something I just need to ask and they are there to help me.

Best decision I ever made, honestly.
