...car or do you trust someone else to? (ie carwash, Robo or hand)

Also, do you wash under the hood/trunk area and wheel wells.
I like my car CLEAN!!!!!!!

Myself, use a power washer and clean outside including wheels, wheel wells, door sills, under trunk on (lost of pollen builds up there). Under the hood does not really get too dirty but I wipe it if it needs it.

I used to use automatic car washes for my old cars. However, now I always hand wash my Mustang with a 2 bucket method. I notice all the swirls now! It can actually be quite relaxing to do it yourself. I use a separate brush for wheel wells. Also, I use ONR and a cloth to clean the trunk/engine bay area.

I hand wash mine with a mixture of Meguires and Murphy's oil soap for maximum lube protection from scratches. And lots of wax too.

Washed my engine 2 weeks ago. It only seems to need it twice a year.
Trunk valley, doors jambs, and everything under the hood gets wiped dry after every wash.
Wheels, wheel wells and the undersides of the sill extensions have their own designated wash mitt and brushes, and are rinsed with the power washer before the rest of the car gets washed.

I have only done hand washing for at least 2-3 decades.

Hand wash myself and occasionally I’ll go to the brushless car wash.

Previous vehicles hand-washed for a long time, then machine washed. This one will be hand-washed. I don't know if those machine systems can handle the top.

Power washer and foam cannon. Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish although I'm looking for Meguiar's hybrid ceramic wax

Depends.

I’ve got a hand wash place that I like to hit up because me and the owner are friendly. So we sit and shoot the shit for awhile about sports.

Then I take it home and detail it.

Every third wash or so I wipe the engine bay down and use the Aerospace 303 on it to keep it looking fresh.

Hand wash only. Unless super dirty typically a wheel scrub and 2 bucket method with Optimum No Rinse. Detailer quality sponge, microfiber towels. and wheel brushes.

Two bucket hand wash, or have it detailed.

I wash it wish a foam cannon, and 2 bucket method every weekend. Its quick and fun once you have a routine down. I detail the bay every 6 months but give it a decent wipe down ever other wash or so. im planning on detailing the wheel wells sometime soon.

Took my car 3 times and paid someone to wash it. After seeing yellow paint on one of my rims from my car getting pulled into the car wash I went back to hand washing then to maintaining it to a point where a foam cannon and just wiping it down kept the dirt off.

I'm finally at the point where washing my car is about 30 minutes. Pp1 rims take most of that time. After a clay bar, wash and multiple test tries of waxes. I've found the sweet spot.

Exactly this! once you get a routine down its fast and easy. The key is proper protection with a wax / sealant and then maintaining it
