over a few days of driving I did see it get up to 86’C (186’f) on some longer back to back pulls Up a mountain. Also once back in the city yesterday it was 80’c (176‘f) in traffic. very normal concidering 5.0 like running hot.
I do like having the gauges and watching the relationship between oil pressure and temp.
I’m on 5w30 with billet oil pump assembly from boundry. 66 psi on start up in 10’c temp , once hot 22 to25psi idle.
here is a good thread on 7G For comparison. 90+’c or 200’F is normal , that’s where I’ll be sitting once ozzy summer rolls around again.
