What options are we actually getting?

If the UK custom pack doesn't include an uprated interior then it doesn't seem to be worth the cost....
Except that its the only way that people that want silver wheels (some people really don't like the black) can get it in the UK, without having to source aftermarket. If you really want silver wheels, you're happily (almost) going to pay the premium. Especially if its tarted up as a 'custom pack'. Lets face it, most of us will be paying a lot more just to have the car colour we want anyway.

Even if you take £300 as the cost for for 'chrome' trim, its probably the kind of cost you'd expect. As we all know, they charge a lot for OEM options - because they can!

I have ordered an EB convertible in Ruby Red, and specifically wanted the silver wheels, and the rest of the custom pack was a happy coincidence for me. I am a little annoyed that I am also paying for "Chrome window surrounds" that I am not getting...

I guess they wanted to "simplify" the UK/RHD choices & options; maybe that will change in the future. I am not sure how much input Ford UK actually have to all this process to be fair - they are as much in the dark as we are...

Right I have just looked through an old EU spec sheet and I am now dissapointed with myself I didn't read this properly (take it in) as it clearly states that the standard interior is this;

STANDARD INTERIOR EQUIPMENT
Aluminium instrument panel accents and pedals
Ambient Lighting
Auto-dimming rear-view mirror
Bright door speaker, cup holder, air vent and instrument cluster surrounds
Dual-zone climate control
Illuminated sill plates
Leather handbrake
Leather seats
Nine-speaker sound system with amplifier
Premium door trim
SYNC 2 voice control connectivity system with 8-inch colour touch screen

Custom Package
19-inch premium painted aluminium wheel with Luster Nickel finish
Bright door mouldings (Fastback only) - This will be the horrible chrome surrounds
Ebony Black interior
Colour seat accents
Navigation
Reverse Parking Sensors
Shaker Pro audio system (12 speakers)
Unique door-trim
Unique instrument panel

Clearly there is an interior difference :(. I have attached the document as well.

Missed this too myself! Still can't take anything as gospel for the UK spec cars. We may not get the stitched dash as it's a completely different moulding for RHD cars and maybe the volume didn't justify it? Doesn't explain the door cards though.

All in all, do people think the stitched dash (just something to get dirty), and soft door cards are worth having at the expense of stick-on plasti-chrome all around the windows?

I think I have seen that somewhere but I'm STILL not convinced it's accurate for the UK market. Recaros and Thatcham security are listed as options whereas in the UK one isn't and the other is standard.

Then there's this:
"Specifications and equipment availability may vary according to individual market"

The proof of the pudding is going to be when the pudding is delivered to your dealer and you can sit in the pudding, I think... ;)

Re the strut brace (or was it the K-brace?) - wasn't this stated as one the things they had "engineered for Europe" in the EU launch event videos several weeks ago?

update:
I have checked, and it was in the "under the skin" videos at http://mustang.fordmedia.eu/enhanced.htm Check out the "driving dynamics video, where they state they have "standardised" on the EB & GT Performance Package so uprated brakes, suspension & K-brace.

But as we keep saying, we won't know the details until later - possibly when the first cars arrive!

Agreed I just hope my pudding is as per what I ordered lol

A shame we lose the strut brace though as that is part of the performance pack in the US

Cars are arriving in Germany,

http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26372

From the pictures, note that there's no number plate mount (yet), so they might not be fitted at the factory after all? Also, there's a picture of a black 'custom pack' car that shows the contrast dash stitching. Although as discussed, that doesn't necessarily mean UK 'custom pack' cars get a different interior.
