I agree. I have a base model only with nothing optional except the safety package. It's more than adequate for the driving I do (I don't track nor do crazy aggressive "twisty" stuff; I just want a car that has power enough to get me out of trouble and more fun than a sedan and looks cool). I especially love the gas mileage for such a heavy car with the power it has. It's a far cry from my old '71 Mach 1.If you're ever going to step foot on a road course and you don't want to mod the car, yes get it.
If not, it's 99% a waste on the street for just putting around. Even the base suspension/brakes are good enough to have fun in some moderate twisties.
